There are two known forms of soap in this world.

    This is the bar soap.

And this the the soap in the bottle in which you press the pump to deposit liquid soap.

Which form of soap do you prefer to use? Any reasons for not using the form of soap that you don't use? Why do you prefer using the form of soap that you currently use? Add anything relevant.

Bar soap is more convenient imo, but the scents are often really weird, at least from the bar soaps I've seen. Therefore I use pumped.

Liqid soap. You don't get that sticky feeling that you get with using bar soap.

Liquid soap, that is...if it comes with 1/2 lotion mixed in to make my hands feel soft, I'd go for that. I never go for bar soap. It's icky, messy, germy, etc.

No "don't drop the soap" jokes yet? I am disappoint.

Anyway, there's a third option I've seen that Amanda didn't mention in the OP, though I don't think it's very common. The automatic sensor kind that deposits foamy soap into your hand. Much like that automatic hand sanitizer machines you see sprawled around everywhere. I prefer those if they're around, but if not, then the pump. Cleaner and more efficient.

    ^omg yes! FOAMY SOAP.

I use that a lot as well, but I kinda still prefer liquidy soap because of the scent. I currently have Strawberry-Kiwi scented liquid soap. :D

Liquid soaps definitely. As mentioned in the previous posts, they're easier and cleaner to use. I've dropped bar soaps many times whilst using them in the past as they're quite slippery. That's the main reason why I prefer liquid soaps over bar soaps.

This made my morning (even though it's 1pm). Just saying.

As for the actual poll, probably not bar soap because that just doesn't seem very sanitary. I:

Pump soap. Mostly for the reasons as the others have stated above. It's much easier and I have very sensitive skin which bar soap irritates.

Liquid soap next to sinks, bar of soap in the shower/bath. I hate having to pick up soap next to a sink when I'm washing my hands quickly and it makes me want to just not use soap, haha.

On the flip side, though, it's so easy to get different scented liquid soap and people often end up with really strong smelling one. :( We have to keep two kinds of soap next to the kitchen sink in my house because I can't stand the scent of the fruity one my roommates use and have to keep a generic-smelling one there for my use or else the smell of my hands bothers me incessantly until I wash them again with unscented soap elsewhere.

I don't know why they still make bar soap when liquid soap is much easier to use. Plus it doesn't smell as bad.

I like foam soap most of the time and hand sanitisers and fun to have around.

Bar soap is just... awkward. It slips and slides everywhere, and when it catches on your fingernail it gets stuck under the tip and it feels weird, and how the hell are you ever supposed to rub it on your hands correctly? Liquid ftw.

A few weeks ago my mom had this really amazing Dragon Fruit-scented liquid soap and I loved it so much that I would go into her bathroom all the time to wash my hands. She got tired of me doing it so she threw it out. I was internally sad for a whole week :(

Also, OP forgot the fourth type of soap: the dispensers that have the "pedal" thing where you push it with the wrist-side of your palm and it dispenses the foam soap into your hand.

    FOAMY SOAP.

I LOVE FOAMY SOAP IT'S SO CUTE AND FOAMY AND AMAZING.

    Okay, this is a weird topic. . . But I think I like it. . . ?

I just use whatever is around, honestly. -~-
I've traveled quite a bit in my life, so bar soap is not exactly foreign to me. When left with a choice I honestly don't care. . .
