why don't you just squeeze the toothpaste out of the tube towards the toothbrush instead of putting it in like a savage

Cutting it in half sounds like the potential for a toothpaste mess (or it would for me, anyway...I tend to just throw my tube down wherever on the sink).

I start rolling mine up if it I let it get that bad. :P
