Sushi talk!

I've never had sushi. Despite being in a place surrounded by water, seafood, and seafood restaurants.

It's my favorite thing to eat too, so saying that I like sushi in an understatement!

The big temaki rolls that you can hold like this are fun, but I also love the maiki- styles that have the nori wrapped around the outside of the roll to me taste the best.

I like Avocado as a sushi filling. There's a nice little family Japanese restaurant in my home state that also makes a good mushroom sushi roll.

Because I see it as a more of a specialty food I am usually going to have it only when I am ordering out like picking up food from a deli or ordering from a restaurant, which is a couple of times of month.

I did do an experiment with making it at home before though, and I remember being kinda happy with it in terms of flavor, though it probably wasn't rolled quite as tightly as it should have been since I didn't have the bamboo mat. I think I could get the hang of it though with practice and all the right tools

I really like sushi! Not my fav food, but among the best for sure!

I love any kind, but i think sashimi is the One i might enjoy a bit less because It can suffer from being less tasty when not super fresh.
I like the ones with friend shrimps in them! I absolutely love those!

I don't usually have sushi too often, and It can be relatively expensive to make, but I'd love to try once!
Omg craving some right now ^^''

There was a store that sold relatively cheap sushi for a while. I used to get some very now and then until they stopped selling it. It's been quite a while since I had some.

I think I much prefer the "riceball with tuna" type. Does that even count as sushi? ^^"

Could it be this? The nigiri

i've never eaten sushi but that's mostly in part due to the fact that i don't like fish period.

i've been wanting to try veggie sushi for the longest of time though! just haven't had the courage yet to venture out and try some
I didn't have sushi until my late 20's and omg you are missing out! There are some vegetarian options like sweet potato sushi! Most of my sushi is 25% seafood and 75% rice/veggie. Guess you will have to try some out to find your favorites!

I like sushi with smoked salmon, shrimp, and/or spicy tuna. I like my sushi with cream cheese, mango, cucumber, and/or avocado. I have sushi maybe 2-3 times per month. I think I am due for some sushi!

I had the best vegetable sushi a few months ago. It wasn't wrapped in seaweed, and it tasted absolutely incredible with I think it was sweet-and-sour sauce? All I know was that it came in packets.

Haven't had sushi in a few months, though. I used to eat it every week from my work place. There was a couple that made sushi fresh every day, and they would give me eight pieces for free because of how well I treated them. They made tempura shrimp sushi, and for a while, I had crab sushi. Then they switched over to making the vegetable one for me. But tempura shrimp sushi was my favorite, so I always had it.

Unfortunately, the couple stopped working at my work place. I haven't had sushi since.

There's also some non-vege, non-seafood sushi out there. Katsu chicken is common I feel, and less often beef has been sighted too.

I enjoy sushi, just not quite as much as Sheep, haha. I quite like the ones with seared salmon, and have seen more of the temaki kind (the sorta seaweed-wrap style) recently which I quite like too. I guess I don't go for the vege ones as much, but most I do like. I do like seafood so that helps.

Despite not being the biggest seafood fan, I adore sushi to the point I crave it pretty much all of the time but often it's a once a month thing. Some of my favourites are dragon rolls, salmon rolls, spicy rolls, and then I love the specialty sushi rolls my local Japanese cafe serves (can try to find pics). I have made my own sushi before and I honestly should do it again.

Sushi is hands down one of my favorite things. Classic rolls? Amazing. But honestly, I'm all about sashimi—just pure, fresh fish without all the extras. Salmon, tuna, yellowtail—it's so simple and clean, and it never gets old. Sushi isn't just food—it's an experience. Whether it's rolls, nigiri, or straight-up sashimi, you really can't go wrong.
