Switch 2! Did you get yours?

I'm not planning on buying one. I'm primarily a PC gamer nowadays, and I rarely buy current-gen releases anyway. I wish everyone who is buying a Switch 2 a great time, though!

I refuse to buy the Switch 2 right now. It's a total scam in my eyes.

I'm gonna stick with my Switch OLED for a long time, until they cancel further updates for the Switch anyway.....

There are so many things going around about the console, such as orange screen of death, there aren't that good of launch games for the console (really mario kart and donkey kong???) , the overall layout of the system update for the Switch was exactly the same as the Switch 2's.

Overall, the console does not impress me. I'm not paying 500+ dollars for a simple console upgrade.

My family purchased one so technically yeah.

There isn't much to the console yet (aside from Mario Kart) but I look forward to seeing what will be added.

I didn't get one. I don't see any reason to buy it right now. There is one launch title that is not interesting to me and bunch of ports I either already played elsewhere or don't care about. I also don't really care about some Switch 1 games running a little bit better. I might get it in the future, when there's is actually something to play.

I really thought about it, but then discerned that it would require some serious exclusives to tempt me to exchange my Switch 1 for the 2.

Plus, a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster was just announced, and it is not N2 exclusive. Maybe a new Smash game or Genius Sorority-style Pokemon RPG would win me over! :)

No because I REFUSE to support the push for $80 video games.

Am I going to get one eventually? Yes. Because clearly I'm not going to have a choice and I'm going to need one inevitably due to the fact that Pokemon Gen 10 will likely be Switch 2 only.

If I find one will it be bought? I mean probably considering what I just said above.

But I'm just saying.

I got mine on launch. I agree about $80 games... which is why I got the bundle for MKW, which was less than the more standard price for games.

My old switch was a day 1 product, and its fan would get noisy at times, and noticebly last for longer of late with that. Plus, I like my Mario Kart games, and this one has been pretty fun so far (with a killer OST).

SV's performance on it is uncomfortably good. It's weird to play it without any noticeable lag, even in the menus or box system. What is this functionality!?

Also shoutout to game chat. I played with some friends this morning on the other side of the world, and it worked pretty nicely. Meant we didn't have to use another thing like Discord to chat while gaming!

I would love to get one, but I am unable to financially do so. I am hoping to get one by the end of the year. I don't like the prices, but Mario Kart World, despite its price, is the most exciting (for me) exclusive launch/launch window title Nintendo has had for a system since... the GCN.

I definitely plan to get it eventually - especially since it looks like I might be able to move save data over? But it's very expensive and I'm not super desperate to play any of the currently released games for it right now, so it's going to have to wait until I'm in a more financially stable patch and there's more available on it. I expect I'm also going to be waiting for closer to Gen 10 or a new Fire Emblem.
