taking the bait

are you someone that can be easily tricked/manipulated into losing your cool?

As a former troll I can usually spot another troll a mile away. I'd have to passionately care about the subject in order to lose my cool from someone trying to bait me. Not that I can't have heated debates but they usually start off in good faith at least. A lot of trolls are quite blatant with their trolling so I'm always surprised when I see an obvious bait thread reach a dozen or so pages. I'm thinking of other forums when I say that. Haven't seen many trolls here and those that are usually get weeded out pretty quickly.

Thankfully no. I've seen it here on a couple occasions, but the person always ends up getting banned. If I'm unsure, I will also check the person's post history. I attempt to stay out of arguments anyways.

I've noticed if someone trolls, it's almost never once. Usually they have a history of it or will do it again. I don't know if that's intentional, or if it's just hard to stop. Or they carry some sort of gimmick. Some will only troll on certain subjects, like coming up with a certain character for themselves and getting people riled up in a political section. Most people are not very creative, and I've seen some just act creepy.

I'm not really referring to Pokecommunity. I haven't seen enough instances here, since moderation seems more attentive. But it's interesting seeing how people react where it generally doesn't occur.

I can't recall a time I've been baited to losing my cool publicly, as I'm not the type of person that can be goaded towards losing my cool very easily to the point of embarrassing myself in the open. That said, if someone really tried to, I can be frustrated enough to vent through more private channels, but I've learned over the years that losing my cool publicly doesn't really solve my issue so it's better off venting healthily and moving on.

On the internet, sometimes, yes, I could say that I am. But I try to not lose my cool in public, only in private spaces where no one can see.

Because I do a lot of work in politics, generally in a public setting I'm able to keep a fairly neutral expression. I think I've only lost my cool once or twice when dealing with others and instead of getting angry I actually broke down crying instead.

Online I'm a lot easier to bait. I try to keep it private but I have a bad flaw of once someone's gotten me once it's easier for them to get me to flare up and lose my cool again after that.

I loveee aggressively giving my opinions on certain topics, and I enjoy debate too. So sometimes I will go off even without being baited to. LOL

If someone is trying to bait me, though, it usually doesn't work. I have to want to talk enough, and I ignore most drama when ppl shit talk things I like.

People could march straight up in my face, and insult things I enjoy or me, and I'd be like "cool, people are different, so like go off i guess".

WTF? No I don't! Name ONE TIME I lost my cool.

honestly it depends on my mood. if i'm already agitated or anxious abt something i'm more likely to take the bait and get pissy. if i'm chill or w/e then. nah. but sometimes i like to "take the bait" just to get a reaction and troll back. i mean like. why not lmfao especially easy targets
