Team Star

The evil team is just school delinquents/bullies. Thoughts?

Meh. Probably the most boring evil team since Team Flare. At least make your Grunts look as wacky as your boss! Not to mention, I wanted the name Team Star for my own team and this just seems like a waste. Grrrrr.

I gotta say though, Mela wouldn't be out of place in the Misfits from the Jem and the Holograms comics. Albeit... I do wonder if those boots are even wearable. It's a weird design. She's also apparently a Squad Boss, so there's probably going to be a few others like her and I'm personally more interested in seeing those.

As for who could be the boss?
Spoiler:

I'm beyond convinced at this point that they're gonna do the whole "Corporation bad" thing again and the University/School staff is the twist villain all along. First with Aether, then with Macro Cosmos (i think that was it), and nothing will get me to think otherwise. Unless, of course, we get more info.

I think it's weak to be honest. It just doesn't make sense to me how something so mundane as bullies can be considered an "evil team" at all with "grunts" and everything. I don't think we're ever going to get a villain team like Team Plasma again. It doesn't matter to me though because, despite that, I have a feeling that this would be one of the best Pokémon games yet based on everything that was revealed and its features.

Why does GF feels like they have to make every new evil team worse than the previous one? I kinda get that SV tries to have somewhat goofy tone to them, but this feels like Team Skull, without any originality to it.

I also don't like the implication, that their whole path will be about clearing their bases. You know, something that can be encountered as a side activity in Ubisoft and modern open-world games.

My problem is with their design, they look so boring. Mela looks fantastic, I don't know why the grunts don't have a lil more of personality too. I'm quite tired of seeing the same uniform 😂, I understand why but I don't think it helps to make the characters look interesting. I hope they have a good story besides the bully thing

They seem like an inferior Team Skull to me based on the rebellious personalities... eh. Not too interested atm, and Team Star is a very generic name I've seen used in so many fan-made things. Mela is awesome though! Hopefully the group overall impresses me to some extent in the end, but right now they are easily at the bottom out of all the teams.

...Do you fight the car too? Says "Take down each squad's boss by defeating their party Pokémon and their Starmobiles!". Implies you wreck the car. Wants to do that.

Do you get your own car at the end of the path? Seems like a good reward. Appears capable of driving itself. Spots nobody inside it. Skirts around the issue of letting eleven-year-olds drive.

Actually, hold on. Is the car being driven by an engine Pokemon? Look at it.

What is that eye and maybe mouth? Not a Rotom.

Is not impressed by this evil team. Agrees on Team Skull being a better version. Hopes for a decent reason behind their actions. Why would they need to build multiple bases?
