Good news! I looked through my dad's toolbox and found a hacksaw and within the clear plastic holder/bag it comes in. On the cover it has it cutting PVC, so I'm good. And I also found a clamp! And i know we have sandpaper because we had to fix a rack in the bathroom that broke off.

Its looking like building the lightsaber will be feasible!
