The Count To Infinity - v12

Why so eager to be reminded of LoL? =3
I never played it so it's not like I can know there's a unit in it that can heal somebody by shooting them =P
LIES! This is a conspiracy! DX

I'm playing LoL with a bit of reluctancy, and I need friends to play with.
So my free time is basically spent working on my fangame until my brain is burning, open LoL to see if some friends are there; if yes, play one or two games (until reluctancy becomes to high); if not, play Sekiro. Rinse and repeat!

Engineer/Techie class was never my forte, unlike Planetside 2's Combat Medic... Renegade didn't have the Combat part

If you're skilled with a pistol you could still kill some people =P
.... but yeah it's more of a supporting role in general.

I find it weird that they did have a version of the Repair Gun that healed allied or neutral units, but harmed enemies in the campaigns.
But did not put that into the MP... the one in MP just heals whatever you point it at... enemies included.
It would've allowed the Engie/Techie to be more offensive.

Also I mainly played Co-op in that game after I got annoyed with the PvP. Repair guns were mandatory if you wanted to see the end of the map =P

Spoiler:

So you're giving yourself more stuff that needs to be bug tested? =P

I wish I had that problem at work...

If I were still using Windows at home I could have broken you game in half and given you enough to fix for quite a while. I'm quite decent in these types of things. :P

240 527 Fan games have become so high quality, in turn standards are high and difficulty in creating is way up.

Even I could tool around with making small rom hacks at one point despite having no experience.

It's not too late, one of my beta-testers uses a witchcraft / machinery to run the executable on Linux 🤔

I have moderate ambitions with this game, as I am alone on it. I will not be pushing the standards higher ^^"
Think of it as a "B" game in an industry where you only talk about "AAA" games.

There is the possibility to go for original styles and events, things we know we would never see in the official games.

Are you already public with your game or do you keep it private until it's done? Like, do you already have a thread on PC or do you keep it under cover until then. So far I haven't seen posts of yours in the Fan Game section other than in the occasional help thread.

I do that! ☺️

I don't do that! 😅

I won't release it until I'm confident in the beta-testing. We did a first complete pass though, but we plan to do at least another one and some more specific testing (basically testing the interactoins between some moves and my new battle mechanics).
Besides, I need the sprites of the new Pokémons from Pokémon Legends Arceus, and I have a few features to add ("a few features", one of which is a eff-ing hell to include).

I don't know why I keep helping people there XD
Most of them have issues with Essentials v20, while I'm using v18...

Is it going to be the Darksouls of Pokemon? Or are you making a LoL clone and call it something like Pokemon Unite? :P

Well, good to hear you are making progress, though; besides all the work that still needs to be done, still. Is Essentials still locked to RMXP? I'm curious because if it is then I'd really like to know what is preventing it from getting a port.

I actually only saw a post of you once while on the main page. And then I decided to post in that thread, as well. Just to sound smart. :3

Check out my signature lol.

It is, and the reason is: language lol.
RPG Maker XP uses Ruby (which is a cool language in my opinion), and the more recent versions of RPG Maker use Javascript (which I don't know but sounds more convertible in professional skill than Ruby).

It was smart :)
We needed to hear the practices of a professional dev :)

We're moving out early next month and there's a viewing in 2 hrs here for prospective tenants boo. Gonna go do some shopping during it lol.
Moving to another country?

Yeah, I can be an airhead sometimes; missing the most obvious links and stuff. ^^"

Correct me if I'm wrong: it's only the most recent versions that use Javascript. So there shouldn't be any reason that prevents it from being brought to, for example, RMVX Ace? I bought that one on Steam ten years ago but haven't got it running on Linux, yet.

I appreciate it. But I'm not smart. Neither am I a professional. xD
