The Count To Infinity - v12

I don't get sick much either. Not in the traditional sense, at least. The last time for me was after a WWE show in August. It was attended by 7,000 people in close quarters. I was bound to come back with something.

How's your week so far people?

Perhaps a little sled riding, making a snowman, and then coming inside for some warm cocoa.

Hello and welcome Nat!

Still no snow :O

We've had a little. Not too much yet though. It's -6 today so I'm guessing we have plenty of ice though!

I don't find driving with snow and ice that terrifying. Just go slow and steady =3
Though you do definitely need to be more careful.

On a different note, after successfully dodging Covid ever since it became a thing, I tested positive for Covid yesterday. Pretty sure I got it from my parents. Oh well.

Oh goodness I hope you're already better by now but if not then I hope you get well soon my friend!

*hugs*

Honestly, it's not something I look forward to. I just think it would be better getting the experience now because someday it could catch me unprepared. Our state can get fair amounts of snow.

I drove to our local store in the rain the other day. Did not particularly enjoy it, but glad I did it for the experience.

Hope you get better soon too @rekoil!

The single most important thing about winter driving is that if you need to brake, do it gently and in a straight line before turning.

240834. Snowy commutes are a lot easier when you switch to winter tires, but better tires can only do so much when the roads are ice coated.

^ This is the way.

I mean you only live once, gotta have no regrets and finish that bucket list, right?

Working through it the last couple of years!

It's getting better! Today is a very important date for me, and I'm also super happy to be back with the nicest bunch of peeps on the entire Internet 😊

How is yours going my friend?

The last couple of weeks have mostly been wrapping up the year at work. Nothing major happening. I still have like one vacation day on Friday and four more days that I didn't take that I'll hold up until the next year. Also: Christmas Vacation also starts in two weeks.

I'm not good at planning vacation days. xD

240849. ^ Hope you enjoy the time off.

Speaking of wrapping, I'll probably end wrapping gifts at last minute. Never liked doing it and always put it off.

I actually really love gift wrapping. I make sure to be meticulous and precise and end up kinda overdoing it, only to see them ripped apart the next day haha.

But hey, I got a weird high off of it. Just knowing I can gift wrap decently makes me extremely happy when once upon a time I used to be bad at it.

I am so close to sharing this sentiment. I love the part of watching others open the gifts I wrapped.

My issue is being left handed. I've adapted enough over the years to cut decently, but when it comes to wrapping presents and needing to be prescise it remains a problem.

240 853

You remind me that a few years ago, I had scissors for left-handed people, while I'm right-handed lol. I didn't pay attention to what I took when I was at the store lol.
I'm probably going to spend Christmas alone though. I don't have family in Canada, and a flight Canada-Europe costs like 1200€, I cannot XD

240 854

One of my favorite things when opening presents is to do it very very slowly. I usually look for the tape and remove it and then just unfold the package paper causing as little damage as possible.

My mother always gets furious whenever I do it. She thinks I'm doing it just to annoy everyone. But that's only partly correct. We usually don't get many gifts so I like to prolong things a little bit by taking my time.

Sorry to hear that. :(

I'll probably just visit my other's house again. And there will most likely be one Christmas day where we have to visit my conspiracy theorist/anti immigrant/transphobe grandpa who also happens to celebrate his birthday around the time (it's on 27th of December). <_<

Lol that "partially" ahaha. Kinda same though. I love unwrapping slowly. In my case it's my aunt who tells me to be faster lol.

Hope the holidays will be alright for everyone <3

Likewise. Hopefully you're blessed with a good holiday as well (:

Hadn't realized we're halfway through the month. To think that years ago the days used to trudge on by and now the days seem to now fly right past me. I had been told the speed in which time goes only gets faster as I age, and it seems to be partially true.

240 857

I tend to like gift-wrapping when I start.
With Christmas by the time I'm at the last present needing to be wrapped I'm just like 'get this over with already' xD

Feeling well enough atm, though definitely not better yet. December is normally my busiest month, work wise; so I'm not really liking having to sit at home all day while my colleagues have to pick up my routes in addition to their own in such a busy period. The timing for this couldn't be much worse.

240 858

Hopefully they don't take revenge and give you extra work as soon as they can!

240 859

Our brains like to cut out repetition from memory. So, when the days feel like they get shorter and shorter it's because we just don't remember the boring stuff. If you want to feel like time goes by slower then you'd need to constantly come up with new ideas and stuff. (Yes, people have done research on these things. xD)

I do the same! It annoys everyone 😅

He sounds fun. May he have the greatest of birthdays, a very merry christmas and through joy come to realise the error of his ways 😊

Make liberal use of modern technology and keep in touch with them 😊
