It's interesting because then you kinda start asking questions. Like:
Why don't Superheroes use their powers to make society better? Why do they only spring into action when the status quo is in danger and why are they only concerned about restoring it? Why do villains have such a desire to change things for the better with so many good ideas only to suddenly do something so insanely evil and brutal like killing tons of innocents?
I'm pretty sure I saw the second and third questions somewhere in an analysis of blockbusters, but I can't recall where...It's interesting because then you kinda start asking questions. Like:

The Batman 😏It's been a while since I've seen a movie that didn't have some forced Deus Ex Machina that makes no sense in it somewhere. Can't recall one on the spot lol
Then again I don't really watch all that many movies anymore xD
I've watched a couple videos about film analysis. So, who knows. We might have had some overlap. ^^"I'm pretty sure I saw the second and third questions somewhere in an analysis of blockbusters, but I can't recall where...
I think the answer to those questions is basically only simplicity. You can't make a very complex story in a 2-hour movie. So you need an obvious villain and an obvious good guy. Plus there is probably a bit of cynism in it: "people are stupid so let's make a simple story".
Also, besides superheroes, most protagonists seek some kind of vengeance (it's basically the only characterisation of the protagonists of the videogames by Ubisoft lol) because it's easiest way to define a motivation that everyone can relate to.
