I got another big bonus this month. But would you believe the exact same thing happened like last time? Because that's exactly what happened. My mother told me she needed money. And the amount just happened to be exactly the same amount I got as a bonus.
Seems like I really can't have nice things. <_<

I made a Facebook account back in 2015 because I thought you needed one to register to Tinder (or maybe you did need one at that time?).
But I deleted it very fast after I realised it suggested my IRL friends... Like how did it know my IRL friends? (now I know, it's from all the applications like WhatsApp and such, it knows the connections between people).

I've heart bad things about dating apps. Like, you can't even make a good looking profile, apparently. That seems very counterintuitive given that you want to present yourself in the best way possible. Then again, at least it allows them to keep making profit off of the people who use it?

Dating apps are meh. Never seriously used them, because I didn't wanna expose myself. (How are you supposed to date this way through lol?).
But yeah anyway, it's not like there were a lot of people around me, so it always ended up with people in other cities and sometimes even pretty far away. But that wasn't the point, as I just wanted to have some people to talk to. Incredibly enough, I met several people online thanks to one dating app and I still talk to some of them. However, when it comes to the dating part, there are a lot of fakes, people delete their profiles, some don't even answer and as I said, it can be common that they're just way too far (so, unless you wanna relocate, what's the point?). Can also be toxic enough if you look at other people's profiles, because self-esteem can go really down.

I have no desire to try to 'sell myself' to anybody, nor am I interested in 'casual dating', so I've never used an app and never will.
Besides that, I'm not exactly a 'catch', so I doubt anyone would even be interested in me anyway lol.

Indeed. Dating apps are thus an excellent solution for women but not for men. I'm always very lucky.

Maybe that's where I'm wrong. I don't "sell myself", I just write my bio in a natural way. I do have pictures of cats because I've heard it made a profile more likeable though 🙃

I've always been envious of people who found their partner on a platform they like being on. PC apparently has a lot of couples who met that way. But I've seen this on other forums, as well.

Sorry that you're having such a hard time! :(
But I wouldn't say women have it any easier on these platforms. I've heart a lot of horror stories. You have to consider that those men are on there for a reason. And not all of them have a wholesome personality. It it makes sense if you're dating someone who is very defensive. They most likely had some very bad experiences in the past. :(

It was literally one of things I hoped it would happen here for me lol. I had a distorted idea of forums though.

However, going back to dating apps, I agree with Megan, even though I think that it's kinda true that the system might end up slightly advantaging women over man, in the sense that few men are selected by many women, but it's the choice criteria.

You're kinda right, girls find very weird men on dating sites, but women are far more likely to find someone nice on Tinder than men are.
