Because it is sinister and cheeky, which normally goes hand in hand with sexual discusion. Most people use ';)' or ';P' when talking about stuff like that, so my mind just automatically jumped to it. XD​

There's really no excuse to not own the PS2. It's $100 for a new PS2 and it has some of the best third party support on the market. The first party support is pretty good too, considering Team ICO and Naughty Dog exist.

Considering I haven't actively played video games in years, I see no reason to buy one. While I'll admit that I do want to play Shadow of the Colossus, I find no reason to spend $100 on a system to play one game. Nothing from Naughty Dog catches my eye and I don't care for any of the newer JRPGs. I'm just not particularly impressed with the rest of the line-up. It's one thing playing games on a handheld. But it would take a pretty damn good game for me to want to sit down and play a console.

Squall was a whiny emo who didn't even have a terrible life. He took every opportunity he had to moan about how his life sucked despite having a better life than a lot of FF protagonists. He was an orphan raised by Sorceress Edea and he had a lot of friends with him at the orphanage. Hell, Rinoa was used as a catalyst for Ultimecia but he never seemed to care after the whole spaceship cutscene and 'Eyes on Me' played in the background.

Cloud at least had a sense of humor. He didn't care about the planet as long as he got his money, but he developed as the story went on, going out of his way to keep Tifa safe because of a childhood promise. He became emo for a while after his loved one got murdered right in front of him by the person that he used to admire and realized that his whole life may have been fake. He never made it that far into SOLDIER and thought Zack's past was his own.

First of all, you make Squall out to be way more emo than he really is. I would hardly even consider him to be emo since he doesn't even outwardly show any emotion. He only really whines to himself. Heck, he doesn't even talk. Every other line he has in the game is "..." So what? He just likes to keep to himself. Anti-social =/= emo.

And even though both of them are jerks, Cloud also has a ridiculous ego on top of that. He's an arrogant know-it-all and he goes all raawrfgdfhsdfdfgjs at random moments for like no reason.

Anyway. The PS2 has a lot of amazing games on it. Like my theme, Silent Hill 2. However, if you don't think you want one, then there is your answer.
Also, I am pretty sure you can get one for less than $100. I could, if I wanted to, get my hands on one for £30 ($40-$50) for second hand in games shops.​

It's almost 2,000 games, lol. I'm sure that you can find enough games to justify spending $100 for, and buying used PS2 games for…what, $10, maybe $15? Check out Shin Megami Tensei at least, it's a critically acclaimed series found on plenty of platforms.

No, he really does spend a lot of the game either being anti-social or being bitter towards everyone for no reason. Well, I suppose he could be bitter towards them because his friends are also twats, but until Rinoa appears all he does is complain. Even then, most of his character development is on the Ragnarok.

If I remember correctly, Sephiroth oftentimes messed with Cloud's head. I don't remember Cloud being narcissistic either, so it'd be nice if you could point out when he actually did have an ego.
