Also you really don't need to play through the whole series to be able to be ready for KH3. If you do 1, 2, and Birth By Sleep you'll be good to go. The important plot points of the rest of the games you can just quick find online because literally all you need to know is like a sentence long and/or told to you in other games.

imo anyway, I could be wrong for all I know, I've only played 1/2/BBS and just looked at the other games
 
Never played the other games so it'll continue to be a black box and source of occasional memes to me I suppose.
