    Let's talk about treehouses! Have any of y'all ever been inside one or have one, at least as a child growing up? Have you ever seen one up close before, or maybe wanted to live in one? What are your thoughts?
     
    When I was little we have some friends with a massive treehouse that me and my sister always climbed up to and refused to leave. Without a doubt I wanted to live there.
    These days I'm more... it's hard to get electricity up there, isn't it? And ethernet? I don't think I could survive.
    Also constant wood splinters sounds pretty bad.
     
    As someone who lives in a unit complex, the concept of the treehouse is sadly not a thing. But I could imagine how awesome it would have been to experience one and get away from my feuding family from time to time.
     
    I've been considering building one! ....well having one built for me. I'd use it as my personal escape to play Pokemon and chill.
     
    When I was younger, my neighbors down the street had one in their backyard. I used to go up there to hang out. Especially during the summer. Mostly what I can remember is the various phrases and names of television shows they had spray-painted on the walls.

    Now that I'm older, I wouldn't want to be in a tree house. I'd like to be on sturdy ground.
     
    I had one when I was younger, though it wasn't really a house. there was a base platform with a rope swing that went out to the trampoline and then there was a tire swing off to the side. And then after about a year of having it my dad built a second and third level to it and after he built the third platform he tied off a rope from a branch a little higher told me and my friends that if we wanted up there we'd have to climb the rope since he didn't want to put in another ladder. For what it was it was pretty fun. Lots of good memories of air soft wars, acting out pokemon battles and throwing wrestling figures at each other.
     
    I have never had one, and I do not recall ever being in one. I am not one for heights, anyways; although, they seem pretty cool. It might be fun to build one (if i did, i doubt i would even use it lol).
     
    I have. My friend had one built when she was a pre-teen, so I've been in it before. But, since it isn't in a tree... I suppose it doesn't count. We almost slept in it once, but that didn't last because it was thundering. :x
     
    I never had my own, but when I would go over to my godfather's house my brother, his 2 kids who around our ages, and I would explore the woods and they had a treehouse. We were only like 11-12 but we had some crazy fun times in those woods, and stories I'll always remember!
     
    Yes, I had one as a kid!! It had a slide on it and everything. I loved that thing. Treehouses are awesome and I wanna have one in my backyard when I get my own house.
     
    Not quite sure you could call it a treehouse since it was only barely connected to a tree, but my primary school had a play area called the "treehouse" which was a large wooden house with a bridge and net you could play on.
    Never been on an actual treehouse I don't think.
     
    My childhood best friend used to have a treehouse her dad built for her. We loved being in that thing, or at least I did. It was so fun and different for me as a child. I liked it because it was outdoors. I still wish I could relive those moments. ;o;
     
    None of my friends ever had treehouses. Since we live in the suburbs and most yards only had one or two trees in back, and they weren't necessarily big enough or grown in a way to be able to hold a tree house. ;w; Never even seen one in person before.

    Although, my neighbors did make something like a treehouse on their deck for their kids. You'd go up some stairs and there was a little "house" to sit in.
     
    Ive never been in one and ive never actually seen one here, people had little sheds for their kids but no treehouses.

    Kids in American tv shows always had cool treehouses though, I was always so jealous of them when I was young :P
     
    I've always wanted a treehouse! I thought they were the coolest thing when I was a kid. Sadly though, I've never even been in one. They look like a great place to hang out though. I can just picture myself as a kid chilling out in my treehouse playing my GameBoy.

    I just have no idea how you'd even go about building one. I mean, I guess you could throw a bunch of boards together into something that resembles a treehouse, but there could be safety issues if you don't know what you're doing x.x
