How much time do you spend studying, with or without a test the next day?

During college for each class I think I would study at least an hour a day and like a few days before a test a little more than that. How I study it depends from subject to subject. For some it is just more or less memorization as mentioned or rewrite the notes, but for other subjects like math and economics I have to work harder to understand the subject by lots of practice problems and flashcards often works too.

I actually prefer understanding stuff, than rote learning. Did a lot of that, in school, coz of exam pressure, but now I study, learn rather, whenever I get time.

school year just started, so idk. According to my calculations i should be expecting between 4-5 hours everyday or so. Probably more with weeks with essays and tests. Probably less on slower weeks. I dont know if this is accurate or if ill even need this much. Or need more.

I hardly ever studied. My version of studying was re-reading notes right before a test. For high school, that was all I needed. And I survived my few semesters of college that way too. Who knows if it would've changed once I got into harder classes... :/

I barely study. I've always been able to retain mostly everything. I typically just study definitions if I need to

without a test: I almost always rewrite my notes after class if I'm not too exhausted. This sometimes happen when I do my homework; I usually look through my class notes and re-organize them as I do my homework.

with a test: I like to rewrite my notes again because if I write something it really sticks in my brain and organize it in terms of topic instead of when I learned it. At least two hours the day before, and an hour before the test if I have time.

ok I sounds like I study a lot but it's just to compensate for my lack of memory like I'm actually a terrible test taker this is how I get passing grades

I never studied for exams at school back in the day, and failed miserably in all bar one.

When I wanted to pass my theory test for driving I gave it my all and studied a fair amount every day for like a week. Passed first time and then passed the practical first time too. :pink_boogie:
