Also I mean counters not checks, counters can take any attacks easily. I have jirachi that can take hyper voices from mega voir like what 15-20%, u really think normal voir moon last will make a difference? Ok it will make a difference which is it being weaker .-.

if mega voir doesnt beat something, scarf voir isnt going to do so. you dont just outspeed and ohko right kids?

Don't mean to run down a Pokemon that is truly terrifying (Para-flinch destroys) but Jirachi is a non-factor if you play by any rules whatsoever. I don't really worry about Arceus or Darkrai either. Wasn't talking about an ubers team.

sorry zeffy don't ban me. but srsly wut jirachi isn't a factor, it's the counters that matters.
 
agreeing with zeffy 101% it isn't a trap as well, if you are prepared for mega garde, you are naturally prepared for a weaker but faster (and choice locked) garde, unless your only way of beating mega garde is by outspeeding and ohko'ing it without taking a hit or two.

I swap it out for Choice Band Azumarill every now and then. He handles a lot of the common walls, Ferrothorns and Scizors and what have you, better than Gardevoir.

But I also run my Lando-T as a Choice Band set, so I think I'll get crackin on an old timey Belly Drum replacement.

I prefer Sheer Force Lando over Lando-T. The Life Orb boost is great and has a pretty good special moveset.
 
Landorus is one of my most grief-giving Pokemon in OU. It has very high SpA and Spe, and when I manage to get one or two CMs it becomes quite unstoppable w/ Life Orb. Plus, it has decent defensive stats so it's not one those mons like Manectric or Alakazam who have really high SpA and Spe but can easily get OHKOd. The only Pokemon I struggle against with Landorus is Celebi.

I'd need to post a huge wall of calcs, but they would definitely show that Haxorus is just as big of a threat to stall as Mega Gardy imo. They say that Mega Gardy can easily wreck stall due to its massive power, access to Taunt and Calm Mind, and can even cripple some of its checks (Scizor) with WoW. Well, guess what? Haxorus also gets Taunt, has Mold Breaker to get past Mega Sableye's Magic Bounce, and boosts up faster with Swords Dance. It can also get past its own checks (Clefable, Sap Sipper Azumarill which does have its uses on stall) with Poison Jab, as well as outright OHKO Chansey with LO Superpower after rocks, without any boosts. I get it, Haxorus is kinda outclassed by other dragons, but it still has this niche. It also doesn't take the mega slot and is better against offense, since it takes priority attacks sans Ice Shard better (hell it can take a CB Brave Bird from Talon if at 100% health!).

But here's the most important part. I saw posts like this: "More often that not, Mega Gardy doesn't even need any boost to screw with good portions of stall."
Meanwhile, from Haxorus's analysis:
"For pure wallbreaking purposes, Swords Dance gives Haxorus the power it needs to be one hell of an anti-stall Pokemon."

In the same thread...

So I guess Mega Gallade outclasses Mega Medicham since it's a much stallbreaker, due to access to Knock Off and, get ready, Swords Dance. While I can understand Knock Off, Swords Dance doesn't make it better against stall, really. Medicham doesn't need to set up, but Gallade really needs to.

With that said, good job, Smogon. You're saying that Gardevoir is much better than Haxorus and doesn't need to set up to destroy stall, while Haxorus needs to. Then you go and say that Gallade outclasses Medicham due to some advantages it has over Medi, especially Swords Dance.

I suppose what would put Mega Garde ahead of Haxorus is that Mega Garde is more spammable than Haxorus. There's stuff that's immune to Outrage. Not so much with Pixilated Hyper Voices, which also ignore common stall moves like Sub, Reflect, and Light Screen. Mega Garde also doesn't have to worry about burns and while base 100 Speed is really common now, it's not awkward like Haxorus's base 97.

Not saying that Haxorus isn't a threat, it wrecks **** in UU, but Mega Garde is easier for the average battler to use for stall-breaking.

Why they say that Mega Gallade > Mega Medicham, that I don't get.

Also on the Mega Gardy vs Haxorus. If Haxorus runs DD it sucks against stall and if it runs SD it sucks against offense due to being slowth. If it runs both it has 4mss. Gardy is effective against more team archetypes than Haxorus imo because CM offers a way to buffer against offense, has a slightly better speed tier and overall better coverage and less 4mss and wisp can buffer its ****** defense somewhat where as Haxorus cant really do much about either in regards to taking hits.
