I wouldn't write off Mega Diancie as frail. While 50 HP undermines the 110 defenses, this kind of bulk is just enough to let it check stuff like Talonflame or Charizard X lacking Earthquake. Even though this shouldn't be relied on, Diamond Storm's 50% chance of boosting Diancie's Defense also kinda compensates for the Defense loss in Mega form.
 
when i think of Diancie, i usually see Mega-Mawile destroying it with iron head. for a legendary, its pretty... i dont want to say weak, more like its... nerfed? or it lacks luster as a legendary that mega-evolves.
 
Only by one source in one battle format, but ay I really wouldn't leave a mega diancie out with a mawile anywhere on the field mega or normal, singles or doubles lol.

Rock fairy is the first typing (other than the also new ice / rock) to be 4 x weak to steel isn't it?

Thank goodness poison finally has something in Whimsicott to almost always ohko now too

Also, Diancie is banned on VGC. So that matchup is pretty infrequent if you use rulesets.

Haha yeah; it's just rough that prior to gen six - steel and poison had NOTHING they hit 4 x effective. Poison didn't even have more than 1 type it was super effective against. Six gen really made some good changes imo.

Now if we could just get a steel poison type.... with levitate.
 
I say we call that the typing/ability for the Gen VII Title 'Mon, or make it Mega Drapion's claim to fame.

I would vote but I'm still not 100% sure which way I'd vote. Besides, it's not like I've ever gotten a high enough COIL score to be allowed to vote anyway.

You do understand what great defenses mean right? .-, it may not be bad but not exactly what I had in mind
 
My opinion on Greninja getting banned or not is still divided - I would say "it's frail", but that didn't keep Blaziken from getting the boot. But with Gunk Shot and Low Kick now, it does have far more to use than it did then. Imagine if it had Focus Blast, then I have a feeling it'd probably have been banned a while ago.
