I never tried ice skating. What's it like? I can imagine it's similar to regular rollerskating I guess. :/

It's more like rollerblading than rollerskating because you're only on a single blade when on ice skates. Though I've never actually done rollerblading or ice skating, myself. Closest thing I've done for either is deliberately sliding down ice patches in my street shoes or boots.

I'm going ice skating on Tuesday (I think?) with my girlfriend because it'll be hilarious. I'll tell you all about how stupid I looked after I'm done!

I wonder whether it can be easy to lose balance that way...

I have never been rollerskating/blading even since I was booooooorn. Must be because I have a really, really poor sense of balance. I think I somehow ended up waddling sometimes.

Last time I went iceskating, I spent most of the time trying to pick myself up from the ground. Ice being slippery doesn't help XD

Thankfully I wore really thick gloves or else I would have had serious issues XD

Ice skating isnt great. I spend basically all my time trying not to fall down. I really havent Iceskated for a long time though.

Haha, our school organised that for PE every fortnight we go down to the bay to do Ice Skating. I'd say I got used to it pretty fast, I still fall over though. xD; We only have to pay £2.50 so it's pretty worth it.

My middle school had a big enough gym that every February they would let us spend a month rollerblading. I didn't fall that much because I had already learned to ice skate, but the one time I did fall happened to be the time I sprained my wrist. I haven't rollerbladed or ice skated too much since.

I never really had a problem ice skating after I got over my fear that I'd fall and have someone slice off my fingers with their skates. I was am a morbid child.

No don't worry I worried about the exact same thing.

Wait... that can happen? I'm gonna be so terrified next week now!

Oh yeah, that can totes happen. I'm pretty sure my first experience ice skating was with school, and the teachers were ridiculously wary about being sued so were sure to go through EVERY! SINGLE! PRECAUTION! they could think of before letting us out on the ice for if-10 minutes. Having one's finger sliced off through a reckless skater has been seared onto my brain for a while now because of it.

Ice skating...I like it. I've only been ice skating a couple of times, though. What a shame. =\ I have never fallen on ice. I don't know why.

I noticed that whenever I post here the first post of the day for me is always in here.
