What are you currently playing? V4

I've been playing on Delta emulator recently- mostly WarioWare: Touched and Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, both games I liked to play as a kid. I really love how these games both use the dual screens. WarioWare: Touched apparently released in 2004 (which I think is when the original DS was released) and it's very smart for the premise of the game showcasing the new touch screen and microphone functions. (Though the microphone is a bit finicky while playing on emulator...) Bowser's Inside Story has Bowser on the top screen and Mario and Luigi on the bottom screen, and you can switch between them by pressing X/Y and A/B.

Really makes me miss the dual screen function. There was something really unique and innovative about it.

I wasn't feeling great (mentally) and I ended up playing Mass Effect 1 for 8 hours. Only stopping to drive to the local grocery store.

I feel like that's going to be one of those things I remember for a long time. For good or bad.

The game is so atmospheric I was holding onto it like a medicine.

Switching between a few games right now:
  • Fire Emblem Engage - trying to get all of the A Supports between each character, not currently planning to do a playthrough of the main story again though
  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses - recently started another playthrough on Hard mode, may try a Maddening playthrough at some point after
  • Pokémon Heart Gold - currently battling trainers in Kanto before taking on the gym leaders
  • Monster Sanctuary - doing all of the postgame champion monster battles
Haven't really focused on playing one particular game for quite a while now, not sure if I'm likely to do so anytime soon

Currently at the final dungeon of Metaphor Refantazio. Imo calling it "Fantasy Persona" is a huge disservice since it's more of mainline SMT x Persona with a bit of Digital Devil Saga and Etrian Odyssey. I'm at lv.65 while everything is in the lv.70s, time to grind I guess lmao.
Once done I might return to Skyrim.

A small crumb of Pokémon Platinum for my travel log. Barry's been a jerk to me in Canalave City so I'm forced to rethink my strategy to outdo him. Maybe a little 'intimidation' will do the trick.

Other than that, Minecraft with a friend and thinking of diving back into Vampire Survivors for the Castlevania DLC and purchasing Broken Sword Reforged.

Currently playing Pokemon Emerald and Digimon Survive. Just finished part 2 of Digimon Survive, really like the story so far.

And that's the Sly Cooper franchise completed. I got the Platinum in 3/4 of the games. I missed out unfortunately... and it sucks. Now... I might not (and let's be honest probably won't) see the franchise ever again. I enjoyed the games for the most part. Very humorous at times and very fun. I just... wish it wasn't unnecessarily ridiculously difficult as some parts ended up being (final boss in the first game, Bentley only small part in second game, speedrun requirement for Platinum for the 3rd game, LOTS of different trophies and mini-games in the fourth game). But I'd say I enjoyed it for the most part. I do wish it would come back... but that's seems pretty unlikely at this point. Anything is possible obviously... but I can't bring myself to believe that the Astro Bot sales will be 'satisfactory' enough for Sony/PlayStation to bring it, Jak and Daxter (which I would play if the trilogy was re-released), and Sackboy (IT DESERVES ANOTHER CHANCE I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL) back. sighs why are sony/playstations dumbasses

Next up... I FINALLY get to re-experience the most UNDERRATED, UNDERESTIMATED, UNAPPRECIATED platformer, and platforming franchise OF ALL TIME (CHANGE MY MIND. Except you won't). Klonoa Phantasy Reverie. I'll be attempting (key word) the Platinum in this game as well. Will I get it? TBD. I want to show it more support and love doing so especially with Scamco and their anime bullshit, fighting game bullshit, anime fighting game bullshit and SAO simping bullshit. FUCK YOU SCAMCO.

WA-FUCKING-HOO.

And that's Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series completed and the Platinum obtained. You want brutal honesty? Alright... here it is. Re-experiencing these games once again... was nothing but pure joy for me. Especially for the second game. It only re-reminded and re-affirmed for me, once again, that this is the most underrated, unappreciated, underestimated platformer and platforming franchise OF ALL TIME. I'd say 'Change My Mind' but nobody is going to be able to do so. It truly and really does deserve a new game. But... well... I don't think I even need to say it at this point. Fuck you Scamco. Just... fuck you. Either way... since I got the Platinum... do you... um... think I... maybe... um... maybe him proud...? 🥲

Next up... I'm finally getting around to Live A Live. Should be... interesting. Maybe?

Enter the Gungeon.
