TV What are you currently watching?

Watched the pilot and episode 1 of Hazbin Hotel and it's been... OK so far. It's not the worst thing I've watched, but I honestly don't understand the hype either. A typical middle of the road, trying-too-hard to be "for adults" show that doesn't actually have a lot going on beneath the obvious jokes.

I like the idea, and representation is never a bad thing either, but it just feels like a by-the-numbers filler arc of an anime to me so far. Maybe it'll become earth-shattteringly good in later eps. I'm sure I'll finish it, but I'm not rushing to make time to sit down and watch it either.

One thing to keep in mind is that despite the animation style, this one definitely isn't for younger kids!

I've been watching Scrubs over the past few days. I think it's really good / funny for the most part, especially Dr. Cox and Dr. Kelso; though some of the jokes are definitely pretty dated.

Currently watching The Expanse and working my way through the entirety of the UK Taskmaster because it's finally on a streaming platform I have access to (on s7/18 now). Also still slowly working my way through MHA as a weekly watch party. We're on season 5 now so two seasons to go until we hit stuff I haven't seen yet.

I've been binging One Piece these past few months. I confess I may have stumbled upon some spoilers that take place further down the line, and I've been quite excited.

Currently I'm in Whole Cake Arc (800s). A long time coming.

But as a result, I've sort of pushed every single other film and series to the back burner. I'm dedicating myself to catching up to it.

I'm plodding through death note at the slowest and most infrequent pace possible.

As someone who isn't familiar with anime, I'm glad I can go through this spoiler free.

I've just finished watching OKITSURA! on Crunchyroll and now I've started My Dress Up Darling. Trying not to watch too many episodes though 'cause I'm only up to Volume 4 of the manga.
