I recently had a pretty big move, which has caused a big shift in my life. It's been a lot to unpack emotionally but I've been feeling better with each passing day and I finally managed to set my computer back up. It kinda makes me sound terminally online to say I was sad without it, but now that I have it, it sorta feels like my life can go back to normal and I can do the things I want to again in order to help me process it all and get through it. I've had plenty of people reassure me that things will work out, I'll start feeling better, and that I shouldn't have to feel bad about what's happened, so it's been really comforting and so much better than just facing it alone. It feels like I can start getting back on my feet.
 
Today is National VCR Day and I will always be happy to celebrate the greatest consumer electronic device to ever have been invented :)

This happened a few days ago, but I'm still elated! I had an old flashcart cartridge from when I was a kid, but I haven't been able to play any of the games on it because this kind in particular only works on the DS or DS Lite. I've been poking around to see if there was a way to get it to work on my 2DS, and I FINALLY found something that worked!! It's been nearly a decade since I last played it. This is so surreal! I never thought I'd be able to play it again. (plus this saves me from trying to find one off of ebay or something)
 
This actually happened Monday.
I was sorting the items on the shelf at the grocery store where I work, and this man came up to me and asked if we had any plain yoghurt of this certain brand. He'd been looking all over the aisle it was in but couldn't find it. I pulled it up on the store application on my mobile, which has this feature that- besides showing where in the store the item is, also shows exactly where on the shelf it is- and walked over to the aisle with him and found it. It really feels major helping customers with things like that!

...Much better than the amusement of finding items in various random places, like a bottle of wine with the lightbulbs, a pair of potatoes with the air fresheners, or an expired piece of cake from the bakery in the back of a frozen food cabinet. :wynaut-laugh:
 
Got a haircut from a barbers that didn't suck yesterday!
 
I got sick recently, and yesterday I was running off maybe 2 or 3 hours of sleep the entire day. Even though I didn't sleep great last night I still slept a proper amount, and got out of bed to make myself some soup this morning. You don't realize how comforting a better night of sleep and a bowl of hot soup in the morning is until you get sick, I swear. Good to still have nice things even when I'm not feeling great.
 
This was yesterday, but I was at a Goodwill and I made some small talk with a random lady in the store. She found this really cute sweater and said it looked perfect for me. I ended up buying the sweater. Thank you random lady!
 
My boyfriend is starting a photography class, and it seems he's decided he's going to start travelling around a bit to take pictures. He asked me to go with him! He's been so busy because of college, so it'll be nice spending more time with him without it getting in the way of his classes.
 
Having a four day break from work, giving me time to watch movies and etc. that I've not been able to do much of.
