What kind of "parties" do you enjoy?
    Big noisy villa parties?
    Going out to a club?
    Hanging out in a pub?
Smaller gatherings with a few friends?
    Hearty family ordeals?
    Left wing parties?
    Raid parties in dungeons?

Other than that I used to enjoy huge villa parties, typical "my parents are out of town!" kinda things. But these days I much more like to have a few drinks or just play some games or hang out with a small group of friends. Nobody to impress, no strangers, just friends having fun together.

  • I too prefer the small gatherings with friends and hangout whereever. Never been to a club before, but I don't think those would be my things and I would prefer like a sports bar or similar establishment.

Hanging out with family is mixed. I usually have lots fun hanging out with my cousins that are close to my age, but together with aunts/uncles/grandparents I get very anxious how I would present myself to them.

  • my kind of party is taking shots with the spirits that live in my house.

no, but i do prefer small friendly parties over large ones. large parties get kind of scary for me, especially if i don't know people.

  • The kind where 4 of my buds and I either stay home together or go to a college kid's house and party

Decided I definitely I like college parties more than bars/pubs/clubs. at parties almost everybody there is my age and going through the same shit, but I always get hit on by creepy old men at the other places.

  • Overall? No thanks to parties. I'd prefer to sit home and relax on the bed with my cat next to me =p

But if I had to choose, definitely smaller family gathering type of parties, and preferably at home rather than a crowded restaurant/bar. I can handle friends of family just fine also, but please don't force me into a crowd and expect me to be excited the entire time. It's very draining.

  • i feel like I've grown to be less of a party person over the years. When I was younger, I would get dragged to family parties a lot and from the best of my memory, they weren't really that eventful because they were just filled with tons of cousins and family friends that I didn't know so I kinda just isolated myself from everyone and just have time for me. I only really liked family parties that involved hanging out with cousins my age that I liked and knew versus random family friends and "cousins" that I've seen for the first time, ever. .__.

The parties I enjoyed the most though would always be with my two irl best friends, who sadly I rarely speak to anymore because life reasons.

I feel the same as mentioned in a previous post of mine. Yeah, cousins and other family members your age can relate to same experiences/interests while ones that are much older probably not. That's what I feel that's the case.

Taking inspiration from OP: clubbing, pub hangs, gatherings with friends (preferably outside at night), family events (I wish they'd be as lively as they used to be), and plain nerdery (conventions are basically parties). I've not done that many pub hangs at all but I know I'd really enjoy them because it's just sitting, drinking, and talking about whatever. Parties at restaurants are definitely my thing, too, because I love food.

We don't really have a lot of college house parties going on here; I've never been to one myself. People here seem to prefer the club or pub.

And here's the thing: I feel like deep down inside, as much of an introvert as I am, I kind of actually want to enjoy parties like I used to when I was a kid. I will always remember my 13th birthday party (at least, I think it was my 13th) as the best example of my ideal party, because it was my best friends and other family that I liked being there and we just had an amazing time, really.

Shame I haven't had something like that ever since.
