Um this is a hard decision for me as I like all Dragon Pokémon,
I would go for Rayquaza

Why?

Because Rayquaza signifies peace making.

How?

Because Rayquaza stopped Groudon and Kyogre from destroying themselves and the all life forms.

But I have a feeling that Dragonite may be chosen as a Mascot to represent the club.

Awesome! It looks like Rayquaza could win this one. It's been mentioned by multiple people. I can see why, this Pokemon is brilliant, and happens to be our club's namesake, so it's very great choice. The battle isn't over yet though!

I have made a poll for Dragon Ascent members to vote in to decide which dragon will be our representative. You can vote for as many or few options as you want. You have to be a member though for your vote to count. The dragon Pokémon with the most votes wins. Go!

In my previous post I mentioned that I love snake-like dragons, yet completely forgot about Rayquaza lmao. Voting for it as well!

I voted for Latias and Dragonite because I felt they looked the friendliest and most approachable, and would make good ambassadors for this reason. All 7 dragons are amazing though, can't go wrong with any one of these majestic Pokémon!

Incidentally, do any of you guys feels confident cloning Pokemon on the 3ds? I have a very special dragon I would like cloned, and need experience hands for this. I can check with the trade corner too, but was wondering if there were some dragon tamers among us who might be up for the challenge?

The hardest part would just be organising a time to trade! Once that's done, I can have that done for you within minutes. Feel free to PM me!

Thank you Norris for your considerate offer. I think I have enough clones now, but I still really appreciate you volunteering your services as a friend of dragons! May an Arceus holding a dragon plate always watch over Firebolt.

I will be posting soon more information about the mysterious dragon clones, but tonight I have a different announcement for our covent of dragon tamers. The votes are in, and the indomitable Rayquaza has been chosen as the new symbol for our dragon club.

Rayquaza will drop in and pay us a visit from time to time as the patron of our club. Rayquaza has been featured in a graphic made by Rekoil to illustrate a new event called Gifts of Surprise that the dragon club is participating in.

https://www.pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=10435685&postcount=65

This event is a challenge by the ice club Glacial Gathering to other elemental type clubs. The water and fairy type club leaders Megan and Fairy have accepted the challenge, so have I on behalf of Dragon Ascent. The mission is to assemble a box of 30 lovely dragon Pokemon, and trade them away on surprise or wonder trade as random acts of kindness by the end of December.

Those who complete this task will receive a rare holiday-themed badge that has never been displayed before on PC. Wish me luck! I'm going to bring honor to Dragon Ascent.

This isn't just an event for club owners. If any of you would like to join in the challenge, and trade dragon Pokemon with us and spread the draco love and happiness around then read more about it in the above link.

Since I'll probably be doing some breeding / catching for this event anyways and I do have a bunch of dragons I'm not using, might as well join you guys too.

Because, why not? Dragons are cool.

Welcome, noble dragon tamer.

Usually new members go through a trial by fire or thunder challenge to be judged worthy by either Zekrom or Reshiram, but winter is here, and Kyurem has has escorted you down the path of ice, where you receive this dragon gem to mark you as a fully-fledged member.

I will add your name to the hall of records. I am glad to have Pikaboo and Nah among the ranks giving away dragons. I can't wait to see what you surprise/wonder trade. I'll be posting my pictures this month.

And you're just in time, there's a second event this December with an announcement pending that is just for you members. I will be sharing something nice with any Dragon Ascent member with a 3ds or a Switch who would like it this Christmas season. So watchout :)

The Dragon's Share

Hello Dragon tamers,

I have a special announcement to make. We are having a Dragon's Share event right now! The Dragon's Share is a magical ocassion where dragons bless you with their bounty.

April of last year was our first ever Dragon's Share, and I am here to renew the tradition this year. The time of year we celebrate a share happens randomly, but always is an opportunity for members of Dragon Ascent to claim a shiny dragon, or perhaps another unique dragon Pokémon.

Since this is a December share, and things are getting cold and wintery across the Northern Hemisphere I think it's the perfect time to send out shiny Kyurem, the formidable dragon of ice.

I subdued one adamant shiny Kyurem on my Oras save, and had it cloned with the help of the wise and talented Janp. Joining me in the giveaway is another powerful and good-hearted dragon and ice master Rekoil. He and I will work together to distribute this shiny for gens 6, 7 and 8. Many thanks to both of these wonderful Pokemon trainers for their help.

If you are currently a member of Dragon Ascent, and interested in taking one of our Kyurem home with you, then let me know, and we'll try to arrange a trade time that works for everybody. This physical attacker I think would be a good one to fuse with your Zekrom.

Shut the front door and take my
Pok%C3%A9monDollar.png
(Pokémon Dollars)!

That is a magical share indeed! For those who aren't aware, Black-Kyurem and White-Kyurem take their stats and whatnot from Kyurem itself. This includes the shiny status, so you don't need a shiny Reshiram or Zekrom to observe the glory that is shiny B/W-Kyurem! It's a three-in-one shiny when you think about it.

Amazing giveaway!

Saved the Dragon Club event Wonder Trades for last. Completed this in Ultra Sun.
Dragon Club Wonder Trade Box.png
- 10 Seadras with a Dragon Scale each. Levels 39 or 41. Modest nature. Poison Point normal ability (Swift Swim as Kingdra). Kept its four egg moves: Clear Smog, Aurora Beam, Octazooka, and Signal Beam. 4-5 perfect Individual Values.
- 10 Goodras with Leftovers. Level 50, except for one at 56. Modest nature. Comes with Gooey, its hidden ability. Taught it three egg moves: Iron Tail, Counter, and Acid Armor. 4-5 perfect Individual Values.
- 10 Dragonites with Rowap Berries. Level 55. Jolly nature. Protects itself with the hidden ability Multiscale. Knows two level-up/egg moves (Dragon Dance and Dragon Rush) and two non-level-up egg moves (Extreme Speed and Iron Tail). 4-5 perfect Individual Values.

Results:
Dragon Club Wonder Trade Box Returns.png
Traded back zero Dragon-types.

Notes:
- Changed Dratini's level-up moves a bit between Generation 7 and 8. Realized it while farming them for Dragon Scales. Axed Dragon Rage altogether in Generation 8. Stuck Dragon Tail at level 15 instead. Swapped the order of learning Agility and Slam, oddly. Lowered other moves to more even levels (level 61 -> 60 for Hyper Beam, for example).
- Traded a few hours later than usual. Resulted in terrible country diversity: Japan, United States, Anguilla, United Kingdom, and Spain. Exchanged with Japan or the United States over 85% of the time.
- Received two Japanese Snorlaxes from the same OT (indirectly). Five perfect Individual Values on both (missing Special Attack on both) and the hidden ability on one. Kept one. Does not often find Pokemon worth holding onto.
- Final totals from 120 Wonder Trades: 28 Water / 2 Ice / 5 Fairy / 5 Dragon. (Understands most of those did not count.) Advises against Generation 7 for racking up Dragon-types.

I have assembled a box of dragons for wonder trade. I have to admit that it's a bittersweet moment because it is not my custom to place dragons on wonder trade. They are a rare, powerful, beautiful and special type of Pokemon that I deeply love and respect, and do not release them under any circumstance, or trade them away lightly--it has to be a very special ocassion like an event, as this is, for me to part ways with a dragon. This is my spirit animal.

However, because this is a good cause, to help us grow closer as a community and bring some happiness to strangers during this holiday season that's about giving, I will send these dragons around the world.

This treasure box contains fossil Pokemon such as tyrunt, psuedolegendaries from the goomy line to deino, hidden ability Pokemon including an adaptability dragalge and the trade evolution Seadra. The last row of dragon Pokemon are all shinies. I also have a row of pokerus dragons. The Pokemon you see all have viable competitive natures, some have egg moves on them and they mostly have very high IVs, the relatively superior/outstanding potential of 4-5 max stats, with a few exceptions like the shiny Pokemon. If I'm going to give away a dragon, then I want to due the species proud, and send stand out citizens that I think will be accepted by another trainer, and appreciated and play a role in their game.

Here are some close-ups of a few of the Pokemon I am trading, and I can provide additional photographic evidence if needed.

It's time for me to go on to the next phase, and get to trading. I will include updates.

Did anybody give or receive any dragon-related as gifts this holiday seeason?

Dragons exist in many francises like Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Elder Scrolls, Raya and the Last Dragon, Dungeons and Dragons etc. There could be folks out there who have new games, collectible cards, plushies, dvds or other goodies to celebrate.

Something nice I was given by mum was a piece of silver. She has taken an interest in collecting silver, and this Christmas she gave me an ounce of silver from the Perth mint with what looks like a Loong, an eastern dragon. It's called the Silver Dragon Bar, and I think it's nifty, worth a share with the dragon club.
