Trial by combat

    You are accused of crime, and the only way to prove your innocence and go free with your life is by winning a good old-fashioned medieval trial by combat. You can choose a champion to fight on your behalf, and anything goes, real person, fictional, historical, contempory, does not have to necesarily be of the human species.

    Who would you pick to defend you in a battle that your future depends on?

    I'd pick Starscream from the old Transformers Armada cartoon. He may not be the most powerful, but his spark burned brightest.

    Tempted to go with Dio from Jojo because his stand is hard to beat in close range... if only he weren't evil...

    Oh I know... I'll just make Geralt of Rivia do it with a contract :coolcat:
     
    I want to say Batman...but his 'no kill' rule might pose a problem.

    It really depends on who the opponent is. Batman is powerful enough to easily beat any normal opponent, and with preparation he beats basically anyone else.

    If not Batman, I'll pick Kratos. This type of fight seems to be in his area.

    Funny, I was thinking of his student Genos! He is a little reckless, but he's determined and has built a strong moral compass. I'm just hoping he doesn't get too banged up by the time he's done, but I'll be sure to reward him graciously when he gets through this ordeal. I know he will - I trust him to.

    Simon Belmont might do too. He might look like a barbarian, but at heart he's as close to an old-fashioned champion as can be. I could have chosen any of his noble relatives (or even Miriam or Zangetsu from Bloodstained), but Simon beat Dracula by himself at a time when the Drac was nearly at full power due to being freshly resurrected. That's no small feat.
     
    I'll just make up a girlfriend that is strong enough to beat everyone up. :P

    King would be the right choice. Not only can he beat Saitama in any videogame he chooses. His King Engine is also the perfect counter to any other challenger! :P
