What do you like to eat at the movies?

  • (Does this go here or in Entertainment & Media? It's not about the movies themselves...)

My AMC is one of those that offers a variety of food, but personally I stick to the classics - popcorn with mind-boggling amounts of butter & salt, a sweet fountain drink or even a concoction of such that I miss part of the previews standing in front of machine deciding on (protip: mixing Sprite and Hi-C does not taste as good as you think it will), and some sort of fruity candy. For some reason, I never eat chocolate at the movies - it's always fruity. Lately my staple candy has been...fruit snacks. Regular Welch's fruit snacks (yes, they have those at my theater). For health-consciousness reasons? Nope! I legitimately enjoy them. I'm so lame

  • Movies just don't feel the same without Popcorn so I'm with you on that. However, have you tried Peanut M&M's? Small and yet pretty good for movies if I do say so myself. At least you're getting protein out of it along with the benefits of Chocolate(yes it does have some!!!). As for Soft Drinks(aka Soda), I typically get something without caffeine like Fanta Orange(if Coke) or Mug/A&W Root Beer if Pepsi. On rare occasions, and I mean rare, I'll get a personal Pizza since Root Beer goes great with it.

  • My own snacks that I bring because movie snacks are a ripoff and I'm cheap. I only really started to like popcorn like a year or two ago anyway and don't have that mental association of 'I am at the movies so I must eat popcorn'.

Lots and lots of butter and salt with a little bit of popcorn. xD

I know when I was in high school and we'd go to the movies we'd go to the dollar store and get our snacks and then put it all in our friend's purse because she was one to always carry a huge purse. They never said anything.

Popcorn and candy (usually brought in from the dollar store or something) for the most part. If im at the theater and getting dinner to i might do something like a personal pizza or corn dogs or something like thay despite the fact they never really taste good. Or pretzels they normally taste a little better haha.

Skittles, sour patch kids, popcorn and pretzel bites.

I only pick two of those at a time though.

  • Like many others, buttered popcorn and a soda. I can't remember if I sneaked in a candy or such since it's been a long, long while since I went to the movies. Totally agree on the snacks being expensive overall.

Spicy chicken thighs and heavily salted chips is my favourite movie meal because of how obnoxious it is

    I love movie theater popcorn.

I know it's pricey but I will set aside money for it when I know I'm going to a theater. lol

Whatever fits in the pockets of what I am wearing. I think last time I brought in some cheetos and a green tea
