do you guys have any peculiar allergies/food sensitivities you wanna share about? i personally learned the hard way (constantly) that i shouldn't eat too much chocolate, else my tongue develops canker sores that'll last weeks without proper treatment and it hurts like a b**ch. just thankful it isn't anything super serious that could kill me or anything...

    Because of too much arginine?

I need to avoid chocolate, nuts, oats, certain pulses, dairy products and anything with a lot of potassium!!!

Nothing life threatening... yet... so I still eat them (I'd have nothing to eat otherwise!) but have to be careful. It's the main reason that I'm not proper vegetarian right now, it is impossible for me to find suitable food when out and about. I get round it by being vegetarian at home and being flexible when I'm away from home.

I need fillings so my teeth are terrible but I don't have allergies.
However, I have GERD, so I technically shouldn't eat spicy food, but I do.

the only arginine i know is the one that evolves from growlithe. nah but fr tho i'll look that up that might the key to me finding out why my tongue hates chocolate (even tho it's delicious af T-T)

ah damn, the stuff you mentioned are what constantly comprise of my healthier food that i eat! sucks to be allergic to things that're supposed to be good for you.

that's acid reflux right? shoot i don't have that but i abhor spicy food. i'm too much of a wimp to handle them. i remember trying out black samyang once and i was writing my will by the 3rd bite.

I have a very minor citrus allergy/sensitivity that causes my mouth to tingle irritatingly usually when I eat citrus fruits (but weirdly not usually when I drink citrus juices). It's nothing serious at all though and I like those fruits so I'll still eat them. I have a lot more issues eating things because of unpleasant flavours or smells than actual allergies or whatnot.

It's persistent acid reflux. Mine is caused by a hernia and I'm on meds for it.

Same, I have some sort of a citrus allergy, but weirdly enough it only shows itself when I'm eating oranges. I love them but my mouth goes numb if I try to eat two at a time.

shoot i can't handle that since i absolutely love oranges. i can chow down on like 8 at a time in one sitting if i'm really feeling it.

I have constant acid reflux, so I react to a lot of foods, but especially peppers and red oinions, those make me feel ill pretty much instantly...

I'm actually allergic to most fruits and vegetables, unless they're cooked - in which case I can only figure it cooks out whatever aspect of them causes the reaction.

It's kind of a drag because as a kid I loved snacking on apples, and carrots, and broccoli and stuff. Or trying to snack on them, anyhoo.

I'm allergic to avocado, bananas, and some stainless steel.

I have no food allergies thankfully. My father however is allergic to two of my favorite foods: shrimp and strawberries.

Mint and chocolate should also be avoided! Or at least lowered. I went to the hospital with a severe attack and the doctor gave me some pointers.

Also, tomato sauce, tomatoes themselves are ok, but people always add shit to the sauce.

I've always been fairly sensitive to chocolate. While I can handle White Chocolate better than any other kind (I can usually have 2-3 small pieces as opposed to one for others), all of them make me very nauseous. Not exactly sure what it is but I think I might be mildly allergic to the cocoa or something.

Chocolate, Red Wine, and Aged Cheeses are all also migraine triggers of mine so that's fun.

My main allergy is to nuts, especially peanuts. It is dissapointing when I can't eat a dessert at some event because of uncertainty about its ingredients. Once had a seemingly normal rice krispie at a church function, turns out it had peanut butter :( I can be around the stuff, but I can't touch or ingest it unless I want to throw up.

I thought I had come into this thread before, but maybe I mentioned it in another thread. I love seafood but can't stomach shrimp, which is a shame because it's so common. I don't even like the taste of it either. It's the only sensitivity I have and it's not even really that bad.
This isn't really a sensitivity or allergy, but the one food I can't swallow is Unagi (BBQ Eel) because the texture of it just never feels right. I'm very hesitant whenever trying to eat it, and it feels like I just can't keep it in my mouth. I don't want to be graphic, but... yeah. Can't swallow that.
