Archipelago (Completed)

Civilization 6 (Part 3.5)

Thanks _confused_piplup_ for the Progressive Era. Saved the game on Turn 104. Ticked over to the new era on Turn 105. Won on Turn 108. Output a ton of pressure with missionary kills, right in the center of all the cities. Cleaned out most of their religions.

[PokeCommunity.com] Archipelago (Completed)

Cleaned out the end of the civic tree. Forgot about the end of the tech tree. Held a decent number of good things. Saw Alex_Among_Foxes's Lamp and a Progressive Protoss Ground Weapon for Explorer of Time, at least. Swears on eras always having progression too.

Finally able to get into this proper tonight! Thank you for everything sent so far, but especially the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, that is carrying my YGO run along very nicely.

A reminder that people that are stuck can use hints! If there's anything you need from me, ping me here or in the channel on the Discord server!

Progressive Protoss Ground Weapon for Explorer of Time
This is not something particularly important to me; it just gives my Protoss ground units a minor stat boost. Given that I prefer to mass air units as Protoss, this is probably the least important Progressive item I could have gotten. The Oracle you got me is much better, though.

but especially the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, that is carrying my YGO run along very nicely
I'm glad getting it from that temple worked out well! And thank you for getting me the Goliath from Route 24 and the Wraith from Vermilion Gym. Those two solve all my anti-air difficulties as Terran and I have enough items now to beat almost every Terran mission. (I might need Medivacs or Hercules transports to beat Maw of the Void.) EDIT: Thank you Setsuna for the Medivacs.

There are only eight missions I don't feel confident in my ability to beat right now, all Zerg missions where I have to fight air units, and once I get my Mutalisks from Jbsundown's Crystal's Ice Path, I can beat those too.

I also got Predators from Alex's Zelda 1 and those'll be quite useful too, as will the Marines that Rafflesia got me from Doom.

Religious Victory
What was your religion's final build when you won? What Beliefs and Pantheons? I'm curious to know exactly what it is that the civilizations of your game now follow.

Mission 15/83: The Devil's Playground

This mission, we went to the lava planet Redstone III, to mine for minerals, and clear out some Zerg on the way. This was an easy Terran mission that I mostly completed with the free Reapers that you get from exploring the map, backed up by Wraiths and all my air mercenaries, and once we cleared them out we were able to collect our stockpile of resources without any difficulty.

First we slew a Brutalisk with a Solar Bombardment from the Spear of Adun, shattering it into 300 Time Shards to send to Setsuna. Then, we "rescued" some miners that had stayed on the planet and were defenseless against the Zerg... and us, and stole their Golden Joker to give to 5qwerty for their poker deck. We got all the Reapers on the planet to sign up with our space pirate fleet, and took, as admission fees, a Dice Armadillo Yu-Gi-Oh card for Arcaneum, a Taxes Trap for CoolKid's farm at Stardew Valley, and a Guardian Soul keychain and Cosmic Arts accessory for Sora.

Finally, not wanting to be retaliated against by the Queen of Blades, we framed the Bomb Rush Crew for the destruction of the Zerg base since they're already on her hit list for us framing them for Ulaan, which got them an extra 8 points of REP.

  • Pantheon: Religious Settlements (free settler and +15% border growth). Snowballs faster by having an extra city early. Saw nothing standout nearby to choose anything else. Would have restarted if there was tons of tundra or desert (with Wilhemina, anyways). Could not make Lady of the Reeds and Marshes (+2 production for marshes and desert floodplains) work.

  • Follower: Reliquaries (triple faith and tourism from relics). Drives the tourism win. Pairs well with the Voidsingers's third tier. Spams out relics super easily. Misjudged the number of progressive eras on-hand, though. Only unlocked it in the final few turns.

  • Founder: World Church (+1 culture per 4 followers). Wanted to get some checks deeper in the civic tree. Had some decent campus locations. Should have taken +2 faith per city, in retrospect, and built Theater Squares instead of campuses for the Great Writer points.

  • Enhancer: Monastic Isolation (no religious pressure loss from dying in theological combat). Hoped to get some early relics by sending apostles to their death. Did not have Civil Service for Meenakshi Temple (free Martyr promotion for apostles) at the time, however. Should have taken Scripture (+50% religion spread with Printing).

  • Worship: Stupa (+3 faith, +1 amenity). Keeps city yields okay. Planned to spam out a lot of cities. Stretches out amenities pretty thin. Considered Gurdwara (+3 faith, +2 food, +1 housing). Suffered constant housing problems without Granaries. (Had Sewers. Costs about triple the production for the same amount of housing and no food, though.)

Kept the default Sikhism name, also. Always picks it for the symbol. Never sees any other civilization take it either.

Mission 16/83: Enemy Intelligence

This mission, we traveled to the planet Tarsonis, formerly the capital of the evil Terran Confederacy, now infested by the Zerg, and also hosting a base of the Defenders of Man, a Terran rebel group that happens to be hoarding quite a few treasures we want. We spent most of this mission defending our base from light Zerg attacks and reinforcing Garrisons with troops, and collecting treasures from said Garrisons that were left behind when the Zerg attacked Tarsonis.

Before the battle, we received many critical Terran reinforcements: Goliaths from Route 24 and Wraiths from Vermilion City in Kanto, Predators from Hyrule, and Marines from Deimos that Doomguy had heroically rescued from the moon after its displacement into Hell. We also got Hellion reinforcements mid-battle from the Land of Dragons thanks to Sora.

We also rescued several crash-landed troops who had secured a strange Black Orb that we gave to Arcaneum in FF12 because we don't know how to use magic and Vaan's party seems like they have a good idea of what to do with it. Similarly, we also gave Arcaneum a Rabbit's Tail and a set of Golden Armor that looks valuable but certainly wouldn't hold up to sci-fi guns. Two other garrisons contained a Small Key and Five Rupees, both given to Alex Fox, the former to LttP and the latter to Zelda 1. One more bunker had nothing but some cool-looking L -Tius Graffiti, which we copied the design of and gave to the Bomb Rush Crew. Finally, we found a Big Mushroom growing in the western garrison that we gave to Arcaneum in LeafGreen.

Once the garrisons were secure, we sent our best Ghost, Nova, to hunt down the Defenders of Man and take their treasures. Unfortunately, even though Nova was permanently cloaked and unharmed, and killed dozens of Troopers and other enemies, the Defenders of Man still evacuated the facility with most of the treasure and took it to their compound in Vardona, far away from here. Still, we used our Solar Bombardment and Purifier Beam to shoot half their evac ships out of the sky and we obtained two treasures from the base, a Lucky Punch from the communications hub and a Max Potion from the command room.

With no treasure left on the rooftops of Tarsonis, we moved on to other worlds. We left our base behind to gather resources (though our defensive Siege Tanks decided to go AWOL and help Devalue conquer the Incas), but the bulk of our military was extracted from the planet's surface in pursuit of the Defenders of Man. We will return only once more, to fight the Terran Dominion on the surface.

[PokeCommunity.com] Archipelago (Completed)

I don't exactly have a clever way of conveying this information, but I just went through my second hunt throughout my game and collected a lot! My game's entire shop has been bought out (excluding any items that require the Money Wrench, which I might have to grind to get enough shards to buy out) and I've gone and cleared out a few of the smaller/easier areas like the Tower of Time, Quillshroom Marsh, or Howling Grotto. (The marsh and grotto are essentially my starting points in a randomizer anyways)
I'm unsure on exactly what I'll need to continue my journey but I'd especially be grateful for the Lightfoot Tabi (which is in @Jbsundown's Crystal in place of Morty's Fog Badge) and wherever my lost Fairy Bottle would be. I would say a lot of different upgrades would help a little, but that's pretty vague, so I feel like the Tabi and the Money Wrench are the things that will give me a lot more possibilities.
Thanks in advance, and good work so far!

Mission 17/83: End Game

Hot on the trail of the Defenders of Man, we fought them while they were in a conflict with the Terran Dominion over the Cerros Shipyards. They had a giant superweapon vehicle called the Xanthos, which we destroyed with an army of Goliaths and Banshees. They didn't have much treasure here, presumably also having taken most of their treasure from this station to their Vardona compound. We did find two things, however. First, when we destroyed the Xanthos, it was powered by a magical Midnight Anklet, which we sent off to Sora. Second, we sent Nova out to enter the wreckage of the Xanthos, and not only did we pinpoint the exact location of the Defenders' compound, we also found and killed their leader, the evil general Carolina Davis, and she had 50 Time Shards in her wallet which we sent to Setsuna.

We now set sail for the planet Vardona itself, finally having a chance to loot what they took from us on Tarsonis. We will not return to Cerros as it's only a one-map size space station, not an actual planet.

I've gone over both my trackers and cleaned up any of the few checks I missed. But am now fully stuck in both games. Good luck to those with things to do! ^^

Mission 18/83: In the Enemy's Shadow

Having finally arrived at Vardona, we sent our best permacloaked space pirate, Nova, to sneak into the base and assassinate every Defender of Man inside, as well as loot everything that isn't nailed down. Being cloaked and having a long-range rifle made it so that nobody even detected Nova aside from a minor slip-up with a turret late in the mission and the boss battle against Stone, a rival Ghost. I won that last battle via hitting the room simultaneously with a Solar Bombardment, Purifier Beam, and Orbital Strike from the Spear of Adun. Since I never used these in the rest of the mission, he never saw it coming.

First off, Nova found teleportation co-ordinates to the town of Twoson in the sewers, which I quickly sent to Ness. Then, later on in the sewers, Nova found a Revival Herb in a supply crate of looted treasure from Tarsonis, which I gave to 5qwerty, and a TM06 (Toxic) for Arcaneum in LeafGreen near the exit ladder. Nova then moved on to the surface facility that held the bulk of the treasure. She also found a Pink Scarf in the late general Davis's wardrobe, which I sent to Arcaneum in LeafGreen as well.

For other Pokemon items, Nova found a Hyper Potion in a box of Tarsonian treasure to give to Jbsundown in Crystal. There was a Swords of Revealing Light Yu-Gi-Oh card in the third Tarsonian treasure box. The fourth and fifth Tarsonian treasures were an antique Ice Shield and Betelgeuse gun. Nova also found a Potion and a White Tuft, the latter of which I can't find any information about online, and I gave all of these last four items to Arcaneum in FF12. Finally, Nova looted a green Armor for Doomguy and a Seashell for Vendily's Short Hike.

Since we have everything we want from the Defenders of Man, we have no reason to stay on Vardona and quite frankly I'm not sure why we even brought the rest of the Terran flee... hold on. We're receiving reports of a massive Tal'darim Protoss fleet inbound on the planet. Our retreat will have to wait just a little longer.

EDIT: I also got another Hint, which I used on Hydralisks since I need a Zerg anti-air unit to win eight of my levels. They're in the Safari Zone Warden's House in Arcaneum's LeafGreen. Once I have them, I'll have the capability to beat every level in my game, though the mission Death from Above will still be quite difficult without air units.

Mission 19/83: Dark Skies

Still on Vardona, we had a Terran base under attack by a couple thousand Tal'darim Protoss units, charging our defensive lines and trying to destroy a Science Facility that held an item for us, along with our own base. We made an alliance of convenience with the Terran Dominion and Defenders of Man even though we normally shoot each other on sight, since even though we just killed the Defenders' leader, slaughtered everyone in their headquarters, and robbed them blind, we'd both be killed if we didn't work together to fight off the Tal'darim.

Honestly, my allies did most of the work this mission. I still can't build any defensive structures as the Terrans, so my job was mostly limited to playing whack-a-mole with enemy groups that looked strong enough to break through the bunkers. The Dominion had completed their Gorgon Battlecruisers that were under construction in the Cerros Shipyards and I had the opportunity to unleash them against the Tal'darim Protoss. They were nearly unstoppable. I don't look forward to having to eventually fight these things.

We didn't get many items this time around, since we were defending against an enemy rather than going on the offensive. The Dominion gave us tech to increase our Battlecruiser speed, something mostly useless right now because we only have one Battlecruiser, the Jackson's Revenge mercenary. A Protoss dropped a Bottle with a Green Potion in it, which we gave to Alex Fox in LttP. We also got a Max Elixir from the wreckage of the Protoss Mothership, but it turns out the Science Facility's item we fought so hard to defend was a mere Tamato Berry. We gave both of these to 5qwerty for FireRed.

We won't return to Vardona, but we will return to Mar Sara soon, where we've heard that there's finally a large shipment through the Dominion's weakly-defended Logistics headquarters.

Mission 20/83: Zero Hour

We returned to Mar Sara, our Terran army in tow, only to find that the Zerg Swarm had the same idea about raiding the Logistics Headquarters that we did. We spent roughly 20 minutes fighting the Zerg, leveling their bases to the ground with technology vastly more advanced than we'd ever have in this mission in a non-randomized campaign, and eventually just playing whack-a-mole with Nydus Worms for the last few minutes before the Zerg gave up and left.

We got some treasure here, though most of it wasn't that useful. For 5qwerty in FireRed, we found a Great Ball, a Nomel Berry, and a Grepa Berry. You may not want to eat the Nomel Berry since we found it inside a Zerg Hatchery, but the other two are fine. We also found a TM11 (Bubble Beam) for Raven in their Gen 1 Pokemon game.

We found an upgrade to Protoss Havocs for ourselves, though they're useless right now since we don't have any Havocs yet. We also found a Heal Potion for confused_piplup and a Partial Invisibility sphere for Doomguy. Finally, we found a Rime Fang for Arcaneum in FF12.

Now we move to raid Mar Sara's Logistics Headquarters for real, this time.

Mission 21/83: Liberation Day

By now the Dominion had gotten word of our attempt to raid the Logistics Headquarters and hurriedly moved out as many treasures as it could, hiding most of them inside holoboards that constantly spewed annoying and repetitive propaganda in order to get people to not go near them. We sent out a single squad of 16 Marines, led by the rebel leader Jim Raynor, and destroyed what little defenses they had, with only a single casualty.

The Logistics Headquarters itself only had a single Grepa Berry left by the time we destroyed it, which we gave to Arcaneum in LeafGreen, but we did destroy every holoboard and pick up quite a few treasures along the way. First off we got a worthless Wiki Berry and valuable PP Max which we both gave to 5qwerty in FireRed, then picked up a Projectile Refill for confused_piplup along the way. The third holoboard had a Tanned Giantskin for Arcaneum in FF12, and another holoboard had an Escape Rope for Arcaneum in LeafGreen.

Then we destroyed an armored transport carrying 100 Time Shards for Setsuna, and finally destroyed the last two holoboards, containing a Shaman's Relic for Donald Duck and instructions for Sora to perform a Negative Combo in KH2.

Unfortunately, Jim Raynor was captured during the battle. Thankfully, we have a tracking implant in him so we've already determined that he was sent to the prison ship Moros, and sent some Zerg under the Kerrigan Clone's command to bring him back home.

We won't return to Mar Sara.

Leave it with me, I'll see what I can do to get you those Hydras (one of my fav units omg)!

Mission 22/83: Conviction

We sent the Kerrigan Clone and a platoon of Zerg to board the Moros, kill the Dominion prison guards inside, and rescue Jim Raynor. There weren't many treasures here. On the way to the prison deck, we found a Geode Crusher for CoolKid's Stardew Valley lying on the other side of a door, and when we rescued Jim Raynor he had managed to steal a Potion from one of the guards, which we gave to Jbsundown in Crystal.

We also found some secret documents, one detailing how to produce Ghosts for less resources, another teaching how to get an extra Armor Slot Up for Sora, Donald, and/or Goofy.

We had to leave the ship in a hurry since Mengsk set it to self-destruct, so Raynor and the Kerrigan clone fled in an escape pod, hoping that someone will pick them up.

Mission 23/83: Back in the Saddle

As it turns out, Raynor and the Kerrigan Clone were rescued by a passing Umojan freighter, which took the two to the nearest inhabited station, the Umojan labratory of XT39323, where we cloned Kerrigan in the first place. The Dominion was hot on our tails and immediately invaded the station with what few troops they had on-hand, plus a souped-up Viking called the Archangel. Kerrigan and Raynor destroyed everything, including the Archangel, but they were both separated in the aftermath of the battle.

Still, we shipped out several valuable treasures from the laboratory. The top floor had a Rare Candy for Raven and a Yellow Keycard for the Deimos Containment Area (E2M2) for Doomguy. Further down into the sublevel, we found Regenerative Acid for our Banelings once we finally get the chance to make them ourselves, and a Stealth Drive for our Protoss Oracles. Finally, the Archangel itself was disintegrated into Sacred Ash by our orbital bombardment, and we gave that to 5qwerty in FireRed because we know that Sacred Ash is the most powerful Pokemon medicine of all.

We now turn to go rescue Kerrigan and Raynor, away from XT39323, which we will not return to.

Mission 24/83: Belly of the Beast

First, we're following Raynor's escape from XT39323, where he ended up on a different dropship from Kerrigan. This dropship crashed into the planet Char, where Raynor had to flee into the tunnels to escape the vast hordes of Zerg that crawl upon the surface. Through the tunnel system, Raynor joined up with three treasure hunters exploring the caves, Tychus Findlay, Rory Swann, and Egon Stetmann, and the four of them blasted through with explosives, along with some other infantry who happened to be trapped in the caves, until they escaped to the surface seconds before the caves were flooded with lava.

Upon reaching the surface, they all escaped Char in Swann's Battlecruiser, the Hyperion, which set a course for Kerrigan's ship's last known coordinates.

We found a bunch of treasure in the caves of Char, too. First off, a Max Elixir and Good Rod for 5qwerty in FireRed. I don't know what idiot was trying to fish in lava, but this fishing rod is much better suited for the oceans of Kanto. We also got a Bomb Refill for confused_piplup, a Dispel Mote for Arcaneum, and some Enhanced Mitochondria for our Brood Queens. There was also a new Graffiti pattern, XL - Pirate's Life 4 Me, that we gave to the Bomb Rush Crew as compensation for us blaming them for attacking the Zerg here on Char. The Queen of Blades must be pretty mad at them now, but it got them 24 REP, so they should be better off for as long as the Zerg don't invade New Amsterdam.

We have left Char for now, but we will be back, several times. Despite how it looks, this is the capital of the Zerg Swarm and one of the most valuable worlds in the Koprulu Sector. It therefore has lots and lots of treasure for us.

Mission 25/83: With Friends Like These

Kerrigan's last known location turned out to not be on a planet at all, but on a space station owned by the mercenary Mira Han, who has captured her and is holding her for ransom. Naturally, we want her back, so we took the Hyperion, trained a few dozen Wraiths as an escort, and swept through her asteroid belt, destroying her ships and stations until we rescued her.

We found several valuable treasures among the asteroids. First, we found an Arma Knight Yu-Gi-Oh card floating around in space, which we gave to Arcaneum. We next destroyed a rival space pirate capital ship and found an Apollo Helm within, the strongest possible helmet that confused_piplup can wear, so we shipped it over ASAP. Third, we found a Raccoon-shaped Rarecrow #7 floating in space, which we gave to CoolKid on his Stardew Valley farm. We found a Power Star as the last item floating in space, which we gave to Mario. Finally, having destroyed Mira's space station, we rescued the Kerrigan Clone and found a Lifeblood Core that powered the whole thing, which we gave to 5qwerty in Hollow Knight.

We've destroyed and plundered everything in this sector of space, and will not return.
