Hahahah, wow, when are you moving there?

Chicago seems like a cool place to live.

At the very least, I wanna visit there some day.

In...4 days! My new job starts a week from today so I'm moving a few days before to get set up. :)

Aaaah, how cool. You're pretty lucky. XD

I'm hoping to move to LA eventually, but right now it's way more money than I have.

Chicago, huh? Interesting. My brother was once there for a half marathon I think, and my parents were talking about going there in the summer for a little vacation. I've never been there, but what is it known for?

Hm...being windy. Being on a lake? I don't really know haha. Being in the midwest?

Chicago's not a place I'd like to go, what with the amount of crime it hosts, like NYC and LA. The difference being Chicago's entertainment sectors don't compare to those of either of those cities, so… yeah.

I like it here in Colorado Springs until I can get on my feet and get out of here. There's so much of the world that people don't even bother to see, and I want to see it. Places like Amsterdam and Singapore seem really attractive to me.

I'd like to visit Chicago just to see some of what I've heard / read about, but I can't say that I'd want to actually move there. I have other goals where that's concerned. Though, I agree with Alex, I'd like to also see a lot of the underrated places. Traveling in general would be fabulous.

Chicago isn't that bad. People who know their way around can figure things out; I mean, I regularly went into one of the most dangerous cities in the country and I am far from physically intimidating. I just knew where to go, where not to go, when I should be out, etc. It's no more dangerous than Philly, Baltimore, etc.

Honestly I have no clue what's even good about Chicago though, so I wouldn't recommend going to visit it - which is really the deciding factor, is it interesting enough to visit?

Philly isn't that bad, unless you go to like the bad parts of it. It's a huge city, and whatnot, and most of it is pretty peaceful.

I really want to go to Portland.

My dad went for for a short business trip one time. It was hard for him to navigate around the city because at that point he lost his cellphone in Louisville, KY. The city and the weather was not up to his liking. lol

Sounds like he had a bad day.

I live near Philadelphia (around Chester County, to be exact), but I haven't really been in the city much, except for sports games and sometimes cheesesteaks, or Chickie's and Pete's, although now that there's one in Audubon, we don't go out of our way to head there anymore. Admittedly the Philly C&P's is quite cool looking, but it's always so busy, especially after sports games. I did take a college trip into the city two years ago to Temple, and some museums though.

What I've heard about Philly is pretty much stay out of West Philly and you'll be fine. I know people that walked around there a lot (I have even a few times) and have never had any issues. Also, I assume you're talking about Audubon, PA and not NJ (I live about 20 minutes from Audubon, NJ).

Kansas City, Missouri is a fine city, and so are most of it's suburbs. Just stay out of Kansas City, Kansas, except for the west part (near the Race track) if you ever visit. The county that KCK is in, is named Wyandotte (Pronounced Wine-dot) but locals call it Crimedot.

No, our fish is rotten and we eat it with sourcream, raw onion and liquor on midsummer, which is tomorrow :)
