I think that's a main perk about being a parent. No matter what age, they will eternally be your first boss and advisor that carries on for YEARS

But that's going to happen with most of us when we will become parents too. Every parent doesn't want their child to make the same mistakes as they did. They remind you in their own unique way, some are doing it softly, others want to force their kids not to do the same things, sometimes by unnecessary violence or verbal violence... That's life.

Why the hell do even the best of bosses have to be complete dicks? My boss saw me smoking on a break the other day, and said to me "oh I wish I had your life". The reason for this is the laid back nature of the job, especially for a trainee, is borderline miracle territory. But that's not the point. He doesn't know what's going on at home, nor my economical status, and honestly he has it better. A store in a big name company that has lots of money, a comfy life taking trips, and loads of money. It's going to take me years, if at all, to ever reach his lifestyle, and yet he tells me that he's jealous of me. FTL

I know how you feel. I get comments like this everyday from my work colleagues that work longer than me or my foremans. It's like people like to judge others but not look at themselves. I take those as a jokes mostly, because they usually are jokes. Also I happen to always have some kind of response.

I would be fine if it was a joke, but I know that he means it. And yeah, not being able to judge himself is ridiculous. We were talking about shoes after work while drink a beer, and he goes on talking about how as a store owner and what not, keeping up his appearance is very impotant. And that's why he has to buy 150 euro shoes every 6 months, to be in. And that somehow, that's enough of a reason to criticize the other cook for his reebok's, when he's in his mid 30s with 2 kids. Dude's a jerk with a heart of gold, but its in there deep.

It's kind of like in the old days at school, when more rich kid criticized or laughed at you when you couldn't afford something he has or everybody else has.

Sounds about right. Another annoying thing is that he'll smoke 5 cigs from you, when you can barely afford them cause of how behind he is in paying you.

Don't give them to him then. You learned smoking? Learn to buy smokes, I always go with that sentence to people of this kind.

Again I'm a trainee I can't tell the boss off. And anyway, afterwards I might get a full time position, not going to lose that shot for some smokes. Also he's a *****. One time I took a sausage pie that was going to be thrown out after the bakery closed and he wanted it. The other cook told him its mine and a I was all, its cool he can take some. He then threw a hissy fit over the word some, when his employee offered him to take a part of his food. I didn't want to make a salad or anything else just that, but still its the principle of the matter.

What can I say...? Some people just because they're higher in rank think that they can do anything what they want, and usually they cross the barrier of discourtesy :/

And the thing is, I was eating that out of consideration for the store. Why make a pizza, salad, or pasta when you have perfectly good food being thrown away?

People that waste food annoy me so much. There's people that bring large amounts of food for lunch, leave it sit in the work fridge, and just go to McDonald's to grab a burger anyway

I hate wasting my food, every time I'm angry when I find something that lays in my fridge for days or even weeks, and it's not eatable anymore so I have to throw it away, it's always wasted money. So I always try to buy only as much as I or my family needs.

I found myself wasting food lately because something always happens to me, but you know what else I hate right now? Having such stupidly late dinners, in fact I've been having some at 1am all because my mother spends all night managing her fanclubs on Facebook.

Said fanclubs was what made it hard for me to get on here lately and when I did it was only for a few minutes.

That (having super late dinners) happens to quite a few people, especially those who work.

As for me, when i'm in college, the cafeteria opens for dinner at 4:30, and early on i'd go a little later than then but nowadays I tend to go almost right then when it opens. When it comes to wasting food, that doesn't really happen at my dorm, I have a lot of snacks which get consumed slowly but I have them.

I forgot fanclubs were a thing on facebook.

I try to eat at good hours. breakfast at 7, lunch at 12-1, and dinner at 5-6 pm. if I get hungry before bed, I eat something light, like a granola bar, or a cup of yogurt.
