Counter that Pokemon! (READ THE FREAKING FIRST POST)

golem

one hit KO
earthqaucke

Full sets would be appreciated. Also, Golem isn't a counter to Mega Houndoom, as it can't switch in to Dark Pulse. A counter has to be able to avoid the 2HKO from that Pokemon in question and Golem can't do that:

252 SpA Mega Houndoom Dark Pulse vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Golem: 196-232 (64.9 - 76.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Mega Houndoom Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Golem: 196-232 (53.8 - 63.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Anyway:

Torterra:
[PokeCommunity.com] Counter that Pokemon! (READ THE FREAKING FIRST POST)

-Wood Hammer
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Bullet Seed
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Item: Choice Band
Ability: Overgrow

Torterra resists QuakeEdge and takes a pittance from Sucker Punch, if Golem carries it. It breaks through Sturdy with Bullet Seed or severely damages Golem with Wood Hammer or Earthquake.

Shadow Ball

Mega Gengar is Ubers, so you can't use that.

Countering regular Gengar instead:

-Blissey w/Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 Sp.Defense, 4 HP
Moves: Soft-Boiled, Flamethrower, Heal Bell, Thunder Wave

Lols at all of it its attacks, including Focus Blast:

252 SpA Gengar Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Blissey: 154-182 (23.6 - 27.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Then eventually kills it via Flamethrower+Soft Boiled.

Physically defensive Mega Venusaur. It can switch into any hit and sludge bomb it to death and recover health with synthesis. Can toxic or leech seed on predicted switch out.

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Trait: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Tailwind
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz

Zard X can double dance on Mega Venusaur all day long (as long as Stealth Rock isn't present) and eventually OHKO with Dragon Claw.

-Greninja w/Expert Belt
Nature: Timid
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Hydro Pump, Extrasensory, Ice Beam, Hidden Power Fire

Just barely survives Earthquake or Stone Edge:
44+ Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Greninja: 228-268 (79.7 - 93.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
44+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Greninja: 228-268 (79.7 - 93.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Then kills with Hydro Pump.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

2HKOs you with Power Whip while only being 3HKO'd by Earthquake if you Dragon Dance on the switch in.

Calcs:

252+ Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 92-109 (26.1 - 30.9%) -- 5.4% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252+ Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 137-162 (38.9 - 46%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Punch
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

It can set up on Ferrothorn because it will most likely force a switch. If, however, for some reason the Ferrothron can't or won't switch, Fire Punch at +1 or even +2 if it's able to pull it off is more than enough to KO it, it was used over Flare Blitz for the fear of recoil.

Blargh, that set is really hard to counter...

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature

- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Stockpile
- Recover

Normally a bad set, but Stockpile Quag can counter Zard X reliably and set up Stockpiles on it, before 3HKOing with EQ.

Are we using UU Pokemon now? Okay then.

Xatu @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Psychic
- U-turn
- Thunder Wave
- Roost

0 SpA Xatu Psychic vs. 252 HP / 240+ SpD Roserade: 132-156 (40.7 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

0 SpA Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Xatu: 106-126 (31.7 - 37.7%) -- 0.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Plus I have Roost

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Stall
EVs: 252 Attack / 252 SpD / 4HP
Adamant Nature

- Payback
- Shadow Claw
- Fake Out
- Confuse Ray

I don't think that particular Sableye set is good. Why use Stall, a downright terrible ability, when you can use Prankster, the go-to ability on Sableye? Sure, Sableye gets shut down by Xatu, but Knock Off and Foul Play spam are generally better options than Payback and Shadow Claw. The EV spread is also rather inefficient. Sorry for nitpicking, but that Sableye set is a gimmick at best and Sableye has better things to do.

Anyway:

Bisharp:
[PokeCommunity.com] Counter that Pokemon! (READ THE FREAKING FIRST POST)

-Sucker Punch
-Iron Head
-Knock Off
-Pursuit
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Item: Black Glasses/Dread Plate (these do the same thing, really)
Ability: Defiant

Easily comes in on whatever offensive move Sableye does and cripples it with Knock Off or inflicts massive damage with Pursuit upon switching out.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch

252+ Atk Black Glasses Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Conkeldurr: 105-125 (29.9 - 35.6%) -- 30.3% chance to 3HKO
252+ Atk Bisharp Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Conkeldurr: 145-172 (41.3 - 49%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
The other two moves are even worse

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 576-676 (211.7 - 248.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
