Do you think you'll be into Pokémon forever?

I don't even think there's a chance I'll find disiterest in Pokémon—unless the company massively messes itself up. Star Wars did that, though, and while I'm not as into it lately, I'm still into it! So, doesn't seem like even the worst could deter me!

Yes, I can see myself being into Pokemon life long, until it stops making games, or I die. I've been here fourteen years, and I'm not leaving any time soon.

I guess technically I am slowly moving on? I am not a fan of the direction Pokémon is going as of late and considering I have moved on from Pokémon before, it's not entirely a new experience for me. I just feel like I'm outgrowing the series but it was def a good 12 years tho. Maybe my passion will ignite again one day, only time will tell.

However, I most likely will not move on from collecting TCG, loving the creature designs, buying some other mech, watching some of the anime, and even replaying older games. I may well no longer be a Pokémon fan I once was but that doesn't mean I cannot relive my memories I've had while I was still a fan.

Honestly probably, I've liked Pokemon for as long as I can remember and even if they stopped making games I'd still be into it. I can see myself as a grandma telling my grand-kids about how much of a big leap it was for a franchise to hop to 3D which was a big deal before everything was mind-controlled.

Neither! I am just so attached at this point. <3 Wasn't aware Star Wars declined so strongly either, but either way no matter what Pokémon does I think I will always keep loving it like you haha.

considering i have not bought a Switch and probably won't, there will now be generations of the games that I miss out on. i also don't watch the anime or play the tcg, or partake much in any way in the official franchise anymore. so i guess i'm actually not "into" pokémon anymore  but i still like them and enjoy pc and such :3 good memories, fun games, cute designs.

oh i'll still watch any more live action pokémon movies that come though! maybe that's enough to be "into" it? :D

honestly? yeah probably. i've grown too attached to the critters, the games, and the general vibe of being a pokemon trainer that i don't think i'll be moving on from pokemon anytime soon. although for me, i keep my interest more in talking about pokemon which then keeps my interest in playing it, so pc is definitely useful for keeping my interest up!

I mean I've been into Pokemon since the late 90s. I think I'm effectively an "evergreen" Pokemon fan at this point. Lol.

However, I will say that if for some reason all Pokemon games were to go the direction of LGP/E or BD/SP I would drop the games, and the games are the only way I interact with the franchise. I'd still love the Pokemon I've always loved, probably, but I would definitely drift apart. =( I hope to god that doesn't happen.

Been here all 25 years, can't imagine I'll stop now. Besides, I have a tattoo, I better stay into Pokémon.

Pokemon is one of my main hyperfixations (thanks in big part to the nostalgia). I'm gonna lose interest every now and then, but at the end of the day I always eventually come back.

I feel like on some level I will be, but seeing as how the mainline games have declined since X and Y, I think my interest in the franchise will wane unless GameFreak steps up its content.

Pokémon has always been my home fandom so it's hard to imagine not being into it, but all good things must come to an end someday. If a day should come when I decide to be out of the fandom for good, I hope it's on good terms and of my own volition, not because the quality of the games has declined to such a point they're no longer enjoyable.

I also hope I'll be into it long enough to introduce my child(ren) to the games, even if I have to do it through emulation. It's something I would very much like to share with them.

If my eyesight goes so I struggle to play the games on my DS, maybe? But I'm in my late 20s now (oh god), and I still play my Gen III-V games - Covid may have allowed me to be more intense, but it would have happened regardless - every 3rd year. I have 5 volumes of Pokémon Adventures and would consider buying up to the end of the Emerald chapter given that's how far I read all the scans and enjoyed it too.
My other main obsessions gaming-wise were Football Manager and Assassin's Creed. I figure I might tape up my 360 controller and go for the latter, but reality is kinda killing my interest in real football, so that might leave more room for Pokémon to persevere...unless I actually end up in a relationship.
