Fly or Walk?

    When given the option, do you prefer to fly or walk around the map?

    I enjoyed the soaring in ORAS. I'm not opposed to walking around for the sake of catching, but most of the time flying in pokemon is too much of a time save to consider otherwise.
     
    Fly whenever possible. And since my playstyle doesn't requires hatching, filling Dex, etc. Hence I don't need walk that much unless that's the only option as in victory road.

    And the reason is same, i.e to save ⏲ time.
     
    I tend to fly. Like the above post my playstyle doesn't require egg hatching or dex filling, so I don't have a reason to walk.
     
    The convenience of flying is really great, but whenever I'm trying to hatch any eggs or trying to catch any Pokemon on the way, I'll be walking. There's just something nice about taking the long way and enjoying the music as long as I'm there for good reason or have enough repels.
     
    I like to walk, unless the way to the area I'm traveling to is extremely tedious to travel to on foot. It's relaxing to travel through areas I've already explored in-between other stuff, and it helps me learn the region's landscapes if it's not a game I've already played a lot.
     
    Flight. Because walking is slow, I think it's only practical when you happen to be nearby, i.e in a city and headed for the daycareon the route outside it. And even then while I remain on the ground, it may not necessarily be a walk, but accelerating on my ride mon or bicycle as I hatch some eggs.

    For any significant distance I would definitely take to the skies, so I can get there quickly, rather than have to find my way back around the map and it's dungeons and roadblocks. Using a pokemon taxi service, soaring legendary or pikachu/eevee balloon also just feels more amusing as a transportation method than my two feet.

    Um... I do. I tend to avoid fast travel systems in most games, though. It's relaxing to take the long way to my destination.
     
    Fully explore on foot first. Fly for anything that isn't close by once I have Fly after that.
    For ORAS I just zoom around on Latias/Latios all the time once a route's explored. It's fast and also just fun to do =D
     
    Fly most of the time. The only time I usually prefer walking is in gen 5, because the environments are unique enough for me to enjoy taking a stroll through them.
