How often do you to the gym? What kinds of workouts do you at the gym?

I go to the gym 2 times a week, 3 if I'm lucky. I mostly do strength training, as I plan to become more muscular and fit. I'm interested in diving and horse riding, and these activities require you to be really fit.

I've been going to the gym pretty consistently for the last three or so years. Obviously more recently lockdown restrictions have impacted this but I tend to go six times a week, and mainly focus on strength training. It's become a real part of my routine and I enjoy going, definitely feel worse when I haven't been or find myself unable to go for whatever reason

I used to go yeaaars ago when my parents went once a week, and did elliptical running for an hour while they were at the pool. but that was ages ago now, and all my exercises is done at home thanks to youtube videos haha. fortunately it's free! many gyms have shown how bad they are during covid times with their refusal to refund/cancel memberships, and i'm not sure i'd want to join one again unless it has a very good cancellation policy.

pre-covid i was a regular in the gym close to our office. a nice MWF sched where i focused on compound lifts like bench, squats, assisted pullups (bcs my back is too weak to do a single regular one :c ), and shoulder work was pretty awesome, and i was starting to build up some muscle definition.

now i'm back to square one with my lanky ass because i haven't been driven to do the same stuff at home the past year :( 2021 tho, i wanna start building back up to what i had, this time at home and with little to no equipment. starting off with just pause squats atm.

No, I can't really afford it. Plus I don't wish to be judged for my weight. I use the treadmill at home.

I've never been to a gym. Currently I'm not physically capable of that kind of exercise and before I got the majority of my exercise through dance with extra bodyweight exercises at home. Honestly, I don't really see the point of a gym unless you're specifically working with some sort of trainer or program they offer. Otherwise you're just wasting money on a membership since you can get all the same benefits at home, even without equipment much of the time.

not nearly enough as i want to or should, although tbh i'm kind of trying not to go in public places as much for obvious reasons until im vaccinated.

I started working out 3 weeks ago (yay new year gusto). I prefer doing dumbbell presses/curls, squats, and lunges. I focus on chest/arms one day and legs the other day to minimize fatigue. I sit at a desk all day during work, so I work out for 15-25 minutes during my lunch break usually 3-4 times per week.

i kinda stopped going to the gym in favor of biking. i've lost a bit of unhealthy weight biking and i really enjoy it. i should definitely start going back, i still pay for my membership lmao

I thought about going to a gym but I'm happy with the set up I can do now at home and outside in the national park. My mum is super into running so we have a lot of the equipment needed at home (treadmill etc.) We also live near a national park so I'd be able to do up to 10km runs in the morning for an hour and my family likes hiking so we do long hikes on the weekend. Other options for exercise (bike, at home workouts, ping pong even) mean that I've never considered going to the gym for the forseeable future. I'm recovering from surgery at the moment so I'm not allowed to exercise probably for at least a month which means I'll have to restart on a lot of the progress I made. But I have also been in a slump since October with exercising so hopefully I'll be able to get the discipline to get back to it without signing up for a gym. :D
