How is your sleep?

How is your sleep? Do you sleep well at the end of the day?

Personally, I can't really sleep well at night even If I am tired. My mind just don't shut off, so I end up being zombie. I even fell asleep a couple of time at work and got caught. I don't want go with medication, so any tips would be good.

If you sleep well, what do you do? If not, what do you do? I know I'm not alone on this one {XD}

My track record with sleeping is horrific. Occasionally, I'll manage to sleep through the night, but usually my sleep will be interrupted at least once, typically by a stomach pain. Example: last night, I went to sleep at 11:30 pm - which is quite early by my standards - because I was ridiculously fatigued and I thought I'd try for a good 9-10 hour sleep. Instead, I woke up at 5:30 am with a horrible stomachache and couldn't get back to sleep until about 7:15, after which I slept peacefully until 9:45.

Sometimes I'll wake up 3-4 times - the other night, I woke up at roughly 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 am when I was supposed to get up at 7:00. When I can't sleep, I'll take a medication that quells the spasming that may happen to be plaguing my stomach at the time, which mostly works quite well.

My sleeping pattern is a lot better than it was, and that is owed to my current job. I tend to go to bed before midnight, in order to be up for work at around 6am, so I get between 6 - 8 hours on average.

A few years ago, when I was jobless, I just didn't have any sort of sleeping pattern at all. I'd either stay up until 4am, 5am, 6am and sleep through the day, or i'd just pull an all nighter and crash out at around tea time. It was awful; I constantly felt drained, I never had the energy or motivation to go and do anything, and I barely ever left the house to socialise.

It depends. I can sleep well on some nights, but I can't sleep well at all on others. One thing I hate is waking up late. It screws up the meds I take. The later I have to take them, the more my sleep schedule will be fucked over.

I've always had a pretty good track record when it comes to sleeping; it's the one thing about my physical health I can say is actually pretty damn good. I go to bed at the same time most nights and I average around 5 to 6 hours. I can get by on 4 for a few nights.

The only problem with this is if I don't sleep when I would usually sleep, I don't sleep at all. I can't nap during the day, or stay in bed, or go to sleep earlier. I'm stuck with these hours. Normally that isn't a problem, but if I'm ill, or particularly worked up, I become a bit of an insomniac.

My insomnia is getting better!

But typically it's wait a while to fall asleep, and then wake up a few times during the night. Thankfully, once I'm gone, I'm really gone though. The first hour or two a whole lot can take me out of sleep, but once I reach that part it's hard to wake me up, unless it's my alarm.

I usually sleep pretty well. I rarely wake up during the night.

I often don't get enough sleep though. Especially when I have an early shift, then I have to wake up at 4:30am. I usually try to get at least 6 hours of sleep but it's often less than that.

I'm up right now trying to tire myself. I never sleep well when I have to get up early, as I just wanna stay in my bed forever, usually. If I don't have to get up early, I stay up as late as I can and then sleep until I get up. That sadly messes up my schedule for college. x(

When I do sleep, I sleep with zero problems, almost like a tranquilised animal. Can't ever recall dreams though, ahaha.

I clicked this thread because I thought the title was "how is your sheep" and got really disappointed when I realized it was "sleep."

It's fine btw.

My sleeping has been so up and down lately just because there's a lot going on, but I think I'm starting to level out again back into my normal midnight-7am sleep schedule.

Since I stopped drinking coffee except for in the morning, and started drinking a lot mor tea, my sleep has been a lot better! Its only difficult saying goodbye to your people at night, cause when I go, the conversations are a lot of the time really nice.

I sleep during the day and am up at night.
It's decent when I do sleep, occasionally I'll get insomnia though.

Sleep and I have a very strained one-sided relationship where I want it, but it does not want me. To say I'm always tired or exhausted is not an exaggeration. I can take 1-3 hours to fall asleep, sometimes I wake up every hour, and most nights I wake up 2-4 times before falling asleep.

I can probably count on one hand how many restful nights of sleep I've gotten this year. It doesn't help that I'm a light sleeper too & almost anything can wake me :'D

Now I want to go back to sleep >_>

I'm very good at sleeping, tbh. I can sleep in most places without much trouble, other than, like, planes, for the most part, and I've never had trouble adjusting my sleep schedule; for example, went to bed a little after 5 a couple mornings ago but last night I had no trouble going to bed at about 1 which is my normal time. guess I'm lucky that way.

Usually I can seem pretty decently if I'm not too stressed over something, probably kinda wake up once or twice in the 5am to 6am range before falling back asleep again. The past two/three nights though I wasn't able to fall asleep until like two hours after I went to bed and then wake up a few times after that, which is weird since I don't think there's something that's extremely worrying to me nor distractions. Maybe summer kicking in, lol.
