I usually do wear socks to bed on the coldest days of winter, in summer no thanks.

My feet get cold pretty often and wearing socks makes the difference between comfy and not. Even in warm weather. I'm an odd person though, I happen to be quite hardy and heat loving. I don't sleep well unless I am warm.

The key is using sheets and blankets long enough to actually reach and cover your feet with like 2 or 3 feet extra coverage so you don't shake them off while tossing and turning.

Also, as someone in the no sock camp, I need to be cool/borderline cold or I can't sleep.

Honestly if sheets or blankets were the issue I'd say so. Way to draw conclusions. I just can't stand my feet being cold, that wakes me up and keeps me grumpy as my body will pipe a metric shit ton of heat out of them. My feet are pretty big so they act like massive heatsinks and will not stay warm without some external insulation. This is both a blessing and a curse because in high heat days I can go shoeless and sockless and feel pretty comfortable. Buuut on cold days my feet are punished by cold and I definitely feel it if they are cold.

I feel better if I wake up cold than if I wake up hot. If I wake up cold, I can pull another blanket over for a few minutes before I get up.

it depends on the weather for me. if it's freezing cold, I gotta have them on. If it's hot I take them off in the middle of the night. It's a 50/50 for me.
