I learned how to buffet from my mom. This is what you do:

1. You start preparing for a buffet a week in advance. Every day before buffet day you eat as much as possible and when you're full, drink as much water as possible. This stretches your stomach.
2. On the day you're going, eat nothing else.
3. Ignore pasta. Ignore mashed potatoes. Ignore anything cheap. Get steak and seafood, or meat in general if neither of those are available.
4. Get there at the end of lunch so you get all the lunch things and then the dinner things when they switch over.

My family is hardcore about food.

Those steps sound painful...All in preparation for a buffet. My mom always tells me not to eat more than I can; until I'm not hungry anymore or when I'm starting to feel full.

Buffets are the best to eat at, especially the all-you-can-eat ones :3

I enjoy going to Chinese buffets! Most of the time when I'm at one, I just really enjoy the food for some odd reason, I guess considering how rare it is for me to eat Chinese probably.

Chinese food in the US is nothing like what they have in China, and in all honesty I prefer it that way. It's one of the problems with Mexican food; it's too local and should be American-ified a bit like the Chinese did. Besides, it's not that far at all to go to Mexico if you want real Mexican food anyway. :3

To be fair, she was the youngest of 12 and had no money to work with, so going to a buffet and spending a lot of money eating out with 12 kids, it wouldn't be worth it if they all ate 2 plates of mashed potatoes, you know?

Plus it was the only time she really got "good" food. B)

I can't do buffets. If I go to a buffet I walk up and down all the food like 4 or 5 times and then I get a plate and pick the 1 or 2 or maybe 3 things that don't look like I'll instantly have a heart attack, want to kill myself, or want to throw up after eating. And then I decide which of those I like best and make plates filled with it until I feel like I'm about to explode, get up and go to the bathroom, poop/puke, come back and eat more of the same thing until I feel that way again and then I'm going home to hibernate/die.

Man I can't deal with pickiness. If you can't handle cheap food, you can't sit with us.

I don't remember the last time I went to a buffet. As for foods of other nationalities, I enjoy Italian food. One reason for why I like it probably has to do with the fact that part of my heritage is Italian. Plus Italian food is quite awesome.

K. -Leaves table and gets all dressed up- Anyone that wants to come with me and not eat heart attacks I'll be going downtown to eat at the other more expensive and fancy heart attack, aka the Brazilian Meat Buffet known as Fogo De Chao. -twists curly mustache- huh ho

I'll be next door at the gay bar, also called The Brazilian Meat Buffet

I rarely laugh audibly when reading things, but this was well-played.

As far as buffets go, my favorite has to be a chain called Crazy Fire. It's one of those Mongolian raw food type buffets, where you fill a bowl with all your meats and veggies and such and their chefs will then fry it for you.

I was a little iffy about a raw food buffet the first time I went, but they do it well. They cook everything very thoroughly, and the restaurant closest to my house has a 102 sanitation rating; it is probably one of the cleanest places you'll ever eat in.

You must have a very low threshold for grease. I've been training for eating grease my entire life. Your game is weak, my friend.

Not really. I work at a movie drive in where they make a lot of fried foods and they're always covered with grease. For the most part I really don't mind eating it; the only thing I don't like is that slippery feeling you have on your hands after touching greasy foods. It's a little nasty.

I love greasy food, especially fried pork along with fried bananas <3

You should try Taco Bell breakfast then.

I work there..I eat so much of it that normal Taco Bell doesn't bother me at all. But the breakfast is greasy x100 and boy does it destroy my intestines.

I still have an addiction for KFC.
