What is one possibly controversial thing you think is usually ok to joke about?

Conversely, what's one thing you think one should never joke about?

I think it's OK to joke about anything if it's in the right context.

...but if there is a "right context" for things like rape, abuse, or certain types of extremism, I have yet to hear it. Unless you're Frankie Boyle, anyway.

Fat jokes. I love me some fat jokes. I also enjoy self deprecating humor. But I think it's fucked to make fun of someone or put someone down that's when it's not a joke anymore.

Jokes about opinions on games, I suppose.
As for what I think shouldn't be joked about, my list is long. Dark humour like 9/11 jokes, racism, animal cruelty, suicide/self-harm, mocking another person's appearance...I find absolutely none of that amusing.

tbh i do find self-deprecating jokes funny but that's about the only dark thing i find funny.

jokes about rape/abuse/pedophilia or terrible events like terrorist attacks or the holocaust are never funny. also jokes against minority groups are terrible. you can still be funny without putting others down or joking about horrible events. i find that people who generally like that stuff funny are either really immature or actually hate people who are minorities or those who have been through awful things. it's just cruel... it's so awful being a sexual abuse survivor and seeing rape jokes all around you. it's triggering and insulting and just makes me feel like what i went through was no big deal and i should get over it.

My father has the most dark and twisted sense of humour you could imagine. Therefore, nothing is off limits for me, it's nearly impossible to offend me. I've heard it all.

Edit: Now that I think about it, rape jokes personally make me uncomfortable. They don't necessarily "offend" me per say, I just don't find them funny, given that I have been a victim of unwanted sexual attention/sexual violence in the past.

It takes a lot to offend me and I guess also who it is that's saying it to me. Like my friend and I can say pretty much anything to each other and we won't get offended. I also feel like we shouldn't have to tip toe around each other either. I shouldn't have to worry wheather or not I MAY offend you. I'm gonna be me no matter what and if you don't like it than that's your choice not mine.
