Welcome! As with every get-together for the past few years, we proudly present to you the Pokémon Battling Tournament! Do you think you have what it takes to be the best battler ever? Then come prove your skill in this year's battling tournament! Available through Pokémon Showdown! and through Wi-Fi, we are sure that your battling needs will be fulfilled. Good luck and have fun!

POINTS SYSTEM
Regular Battles - 100 pts.Wi-Fi Battles - 150 pts.
Random Battles and Challenge Cup - 50 pts
1v1 Battles (including Random 1v1) - 5pts
How does this tournament work?
If you have played in the past few get-together battling tournaments, then you are already familiar with how this tournament works. The premise is to collect points via winning battles. You are only going to get points if your opponent is also a participant of this tournament, and he or she agreed to a tournament battle.The chart on the right tells you how many points you can get per battle won in each format. You gain 150 points for in-game Wi-Fi battles, which is, sadly, limited only to XY due to the shutdown of online activities for the other games; 50 points for all Random Battle and Challenge Cup formats; 5 points for all 1v1 formats, including 1v1 Random; and 100 points for regular battles, which include all the other formats, such as OU. The points system was agreed upon by the hosts in order to promote a sense of difficulty. For example, spamming 1v1 battles is easy and less time-consuming, which makes it unfair to the others who take their time to build a team and battle other people 6v6. This is why 1v1 formats have such a low number of points, in order to discourage any sort of unfair results.
Where do we battle?
Non-Wi-Fi battles shall be conducted in the PC Battle Server. If you haven't been there before, keep in mind of the several rules that the server upholds. Feel free to use the server as a medium to find other Wi-Fi players and exchange 3DS information.What do I get if for participating or winning?
