pull the trigger piglet

have you fired a gun before?

you're confusing me with your duplicate thread names

also no not outside of a video game

I own some airsoft guns, but I haven't played in a while. They were pretty fun though!

I have held my uncle's hunting rifles and pistol, but never shot anything. I want to go to a gun range someday and shoot a gun.

No, and I'm not strong so the kick would probably knock me over

Ohohohohoho! Boy, you guys missed out on all the fun automatic toys, didn't you? Yes, yes I have. Many, many times. 331/350 by last count. That means I can 'shoot yer eye out kid' at 500 away. Still hate the M-16 platform though. Can't stand the thing. It's a bitch to disassemble completely. Sand and gunk gets in it all the time. I shot better than the instructors more than a few times.

During my military service we where required to learn to use different kinds of firearms, which also meant shooting practices. So yeah, pulled that trigger quite an amount of times.

Not all of them have as much of a knock back as a machine gun. That's especially true for small pistols. Additionally, you usually wanna change into certain stances when firing a gun, which for the most part already easens up the impact quite a bit. Not saying that you should try it; you just don't have to worry about stuff like getting knocked over or losing an arm or something.

True, true. I found that the most kickback I ever received was from some old beat up Remington 870 that's been circulating since the 60's. I swear the coils in that thing need replacement... but certain automatic rifles, like the M-16A4 didn't offer so much due to the burst fire only option on the thing. 'Ta-ta-ta' was about as exciting as that thing got.

Heavier weapons though, do have stronger recoil. Which handguns were you trained on? I remember using a Glock 17 (not in the military. They don't use those I don't think) and the Beretta and found that the Beretta was far and away much easier to handle. My score shot up considerably. I think it has to do with the polymer/metals ratio in the Glock, which I hate.

Ohohoho. Quite.

I have fired one of those toy guns that looks real but actually shoot tiny plastic or w/e balls that a cousin had. I would imagine if you got shot by one it would still hurt though, but they are mainly for fun target practice stuff, like shotting empty cans of beer like my cousin. I kinda sucked though, don't remember hitting anything while he aced everything.
