Do you ever finish a series and think "wowza that was so super great", then later on rewatch it? Why or why not?

If you do, what makes you want to?

Do you just watch certain episodes or do you have to hunker down and watch the whole thing?

If a series gets an English dub, do you rewatch for that?

Myself, I'm more of a certain scene kind of person. I can't tell you how many times I rewatched the end of Angel Beats, or the dreaded EPISODE 8 SCENE. There's also Levi vs. the Female Titan owo... I sometimes watch the English dub for shows I've already seen, but I tend to get bored with it, and stop 5 or so episodes in.

Chobits and Angel Beats are the ones I tend to come back and rewatch, but I have to watch them from the beginning, and watch the entire thing all the way through to the end. I'm not a fan of English dub, so regardless of the availability, I use subs.

For me, rewatching a series means re-living the memories I experience.
But it's long time after finishing the series for the first time.
I wouldn't watch to rewatch something I have fresh memories of.
(I don't count Mahouka, since I was following 2-3 versions from the start :D)

I do sometimes watch specific episodes but I don't count that as rewatching.

    NO.

I rewatch something if for some reason something didn't really make sense to me, like I rewatched a really crappy anime called the legend of the legendary heroes. It really made no sense at all but apparently the manga was a lot better because it's apparently sold millions. But what I watched was just utter shit and I had to rewatch it just to see if there was something I missed that made it seem so terrible to me, but I just couldn't find anything.

And other than that the only reason I really rewatch anything is because I get bored and want to go watch things I found really interesting the first time through. The only things I've really rewatched are Blood +, Death Note, Naruto (the original, I tried rewatching shippuden and I couldn't stand it), and I rewatched most of Bleach because I had missed a lot of episodes throughout and some things didn't really make sense.

Sometimes, but not often. Usually a rewatch happens on a whim or because it started airing on Toonami. The biggest reason it doesn't happen often is my personal time.

If you do, what makes you want to?
Whim, because it's airing on Toonami, wanting to support the commercial release, etc.

Do you just watch certain episodes or do you have to hunker down and watch the whole thing?

Generally, the whole thing. I only restrict myself to certain episodes if I'm trying to remember which episode a reference came from.

If a series gets an English dub, do you rewatch for that?

If it's airing on TV, yes. If I'm watching with friends, yes. Otherwise, it's up to whim and it'd probably depend on whether I enjoyed the series in the first place.

I see someone drank their whole case of HateradeTM today! You're just jealous we get all that delicious anime dubbed in our native tongue and don't have to import that from another country! :P

I've rewatched Dragon Ball Z up until Majin Buu, and Fooly Cooly. I do go back to a bunch of anime and just watch a certain episode.

For me to rewatch an anime, it just doesn't have to be good, but I also have to have gained some emotional attachment to characters. A lot of the time, I'll rewatch to see certain scenes, but I'll end up rewatching the whole anime anyway because I enjoyed it so much in the first place.

I remember Ouran was the first Anime I watched actually knowing it was an anime. After loving it the first time I rewatched it over and over again especially certain episodes more than others - Back then I only had a 5GB cap on my internet and wasted that pretty quickly.

Apart from that I've rewatched the first 5 seasons of digimon at least 4-5 times each per season. Haven't had time to rewatch the 6th but haven't had much time lately to do so.
Shaman King I've rewatched about 3 times, HxH2011 certain arcs multiple times and Inazuma Eleven/GO I've rewatched twice, all needing one more rewatch.

If a series did get a english dub, I'd only watch an episode or 2 just to hear how their voices sounded in english but I wouldn't go for a full rewatch of the whole series - That doesn't include if I had already watched the series in English the first time though.

I'm pretty whimsical when it comes to rewatching anything. Only requirement is that I enjoyed the show first time round or think that I'll like it a second time round.

    I've watched SAO 4-6 times.
    Sekirei twice.
    Yu Yu Hakusho twice.
Watching Inuyasha atm for the 2nd time :D

I'll typically re-watch my favourite anime every couple of years, when I don't really feel like watching anything new. I just remember bits and pieces that I've really enjoyed, or the soundtrack pops up after ages on my iTunes, and I just go for it. I also rewatch a season of Precure at the end of the year, since there are 48 days between my birthday and Christmas...it's a convenient way to count the days. xD

I typically don't watch dubs of shows I've already watch subbed, and vice versa...once I associate the voice with the character, having that uprooted with the sudden switch is disjointing, and I can't focus on anything else but how weird their voice sounds now. I watch a lot of dubbed anime - and there are plenty of dubs that are infinitely superior to the original, just as there are plenty that butcher it utterly; I'd say it's a 50/50 split - and I'd consider that a separate matter from whether or not I'm inclined to rewatch it. Good dub voice casts generally make me more amicable towards a show...although there are exceptions like Code Geass, which have a mostly amazing voice cast but are unbearable to watch.

    I'm a more of a scene person too. God knows how many Fate/Zero fight scenes I've watched on replay on Youtube. XD;;

Some of the animes I've rewatched are Madoka Magica, Baccano!, and Psycho Pass (since the new edit counts as another rewatch xD). I don't really decide on what anime to watch again. If I have the abundant time and I feel like it, I'll just watch whatever I feel like re-watching.~

It looks like we're an army of two, here.

Ooohh I should re watch Baccano!, I only saw it the one time.

I have rewatched a few series: Darker than black, Ao no Exorcist, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei and Code Geass They all have an amazing rewatch value, my only problem with rewatching animes is I have to completely forget what they're like otherwise I find myself skipping episodes and end up giving up interest.

The only two anime I can think of off the top of my head that have a really good rewatch value are Paranoia Agent and Samurai Champloo, although that might just be bias because of how they're my favorites. I think most of Satoshi Kon's stuff has really good rewatch value though imo.

Largely not as I follow shows that air each season. A few shows I can rewatch if there is a dub version of it are Panty & Stocking and Kill La Kill and romance shows as well like Toradora, which is more interesting on the second watch as you know how the story ends but you focus on how the story develops.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (1st and 2nd season) as well as Neon Genesis Evangelion are good examples of this

There are a few spectacular English dubs out there like Princess Tutu. That also has some hilarious commentary ;*)

I only buy a series if it's going to be rewatched, and what's the point of introducing somebody to something if you don't watch it with them? To name a few rewatched at least a dozen times: Vision of Escaflowne, Here is Greenwood, Gundam X, and Haibane Renmei.
