Rocket's Investigation [Epilogue]

You've got to be kidding me. Do you guys even know how to play this game? This is 3 times in 5 games I've been lynched while innocent. I clearly voted for people who were Rockets before, which should've told you I was innocent, but just because you didn't like who I silenced and because I was a silencer, you decided to off me. Guess what? You can't judge a role by its ability. You guys never cease to amaze me.

Or get switched to the losing team right near the end of the game...

#saltysnailmas

This happened to me in the R&M mafia. it's so fun right. :P

Cough.. I don't want to be that person, but dying as inno is perfectly normal... we had to be sure about someone eventually right? Your poor soul just happened to get stuck with a poison type, silencing and bad timing, combined with erratic voting. I'm pretty sure we're playing above average considering all the mafia hitting the floor compared to innos...

Can I just throw an idea out there?

We're all in agreement that Team Aqua is running as something akin to a cult, right? There has been no confirmation of Magma yet, though. But if there is a cult, then there is like a group of a few players who will be working together, and growing more by each day (or every other day, since we're unclear as to their rate of recruitment).

Outside of Klippy/Milotic the only group of players I've seen that have consistently been siding with each other, with (imo) loose information and the such would be Golgari/Nimsy/Syndrome/InceGoddess. One thing that struck me curious was Golgari outright told us that he KNEW Ice Goddess was innocent. So two things to comment about that:
1. If he were innocent, how would he know for sure if Ice Goddess is innocent? The common means in this case would be if he were an investigative role (which is Alvy) or maybe some kind of pairing/sibling/lovers role with Ice Goddess (occupied by Klippy/Milotic).
2. Ice Goddess came out shortly afterwards saying he wasn't really sided with anyone, and his wincon was just to survive. Now, whether or not he's telling the truth, why would he not state he's inno if he is (and also that Golgari claimed he was inno to boot).

Ontop of that, Golgari was hasty to defend Ice Goddess and Syndrome, saying he was confident they were both inno off playstyle alone - with no hard facts. Of course I'm not saying this makes them NOT inno, but I feel like an inno wouldn't make those claims or act in this way when in truth they shouldn't be trusting anyone.

Next is how quickly two of them (Nimsy and Golgari) jumped on Wiicked on a hunch of not trusting and killed him quite quickly. Who turned out to be innocent, convenient?

Now, I'm not saying they're all mafia or aqua or guilty or whatnot. But out of people I am keeping my eye on and am not trusting, it would be this group. Especially how Golgari seems entwined in each case I listed. And afaik, none have been confirmed as any affiliation. And Ice Goddess confirmed his day action and pokemon name, whereas golgari has revealed his day action. I think that's all that they've revealed so far?

I was bluffing about knowing Weiss's innocence, I thought that claiming I knew he was inno would stop the incredibly misguided lynch. Also as a little FYI, Weiss isn't actually an explorer, but a third party 'win by surviving' type of role, at least, that's what he claimed

I've been playing risky by siding with the people I've sided with, since if they end up flipping rocket that could be incredibly bad, but I assure you that I am not in a cult of any sort with them, and I trait them because of the reason I stated, playstyle. If I end up being wrong, shame on me, but at the time I argued for for their lives I considered them to be extremely town sided.

Edit: tbh I don't think there is a cult, I feel like it would've gotten more narrative attention than subtle words here or there.

Edit2: if there was a cult, don't you think they'd go after the two confirmed healers or investigator first? That would definitely be the smartest play on their part.

In reference to your edit remarks, I totally get where you're coming from. Even as I was writing that post, in the back of my head, it was gnawing at me that "Hey, it really hasn't been referenced in a convincing fashion in the phase change posts. But so many people seem certain that they are cult-y".

So if we continue on with this, I have a n honest question I want to ask everyone:
1. We know for a fact, 100% certain that Team Aqua is a thing, yes?
2. What about Team Magma?
3. What does Team Aqua/Magma do? How do they operate? Their wincon? Potential Pokemon represented in this game?
4. Do both really exist, or only Aqua?

Honestly, even the mention of Team Aqua has been so... minimal? It was just a part of Ryu's death that it was briefly mentioned. It just feels so... ugh, to me.

And to be honest, DJ, I didn't vote for you or anyone yet because I really don't like attacking/voting right after presenting a theory or an idea. I just want to encourage discussion and sharing knowledge and more ideas. Understand where people come from, and what they're trying to get across when they talk. What I'm trying to say is, I had no intention of attacking any of you (immediately, anyways) but rather start a discussion surrounding how odd it was how the 4 of you seem to band around yourself so... subtly? I found it unnerving, if I were to be straight with ya'.

Oh, no harm done Kyle. Discussion is important, but I did feel the need to elaborate on why I did the things I did.

In reference to your questions, the narrative seemed to imply that Aqua is trying to flood the world, and a certain pokemon (I think it only mentioned one? On mobile so if I'm wrong please correct me) wants to stop them. I'll have to check the post again later.

I do have to say something though: Gunner, can you use Metronome on Bard maybe?

I know he's kinda busy apparently, but tbh Wizard used the same excuse and... well.. just a thought.

Edit: Did some studying in this thread and about the move Block and I maaay have an idea of what Pokemon we're looking for? It might be Cacnea? It's ability is Sand Veil and we had a sandstorm occur during one of the phases... and just like the Murkrow before, it was also written in bold. In the latest phase post usernames are written in bold, so I'm positive bolded moves/Pokemon belong to players in the game.

Okay, Universe told me to attack Bard, so I will

[attack] Bardothren

Wait guys, what if we are going at this all wrong? What if there is no Team Aqua, but a Pokemon of Team Aqua (Sharpedo, etc) or a Pokemon that Team Aqua tries to resurrect (Kyogre)

I don't even know what my alignment turns up as. Which is why I'd like Alvey to investigate me tonight. If I somehow end up appearing innocent, well that means those "confirmed innos" may hide third-party roles that aren't specifically town-sided.

It's not their fault that some people just don't seem trustworthy. I've killed innocent people whom I thought weren't innocent, but that doesn't make me mafia.
