    Introduction:

    Welcome, one and all! This is our second edition of Supporter Randbats Tournament, hosted by yours truly. This event is for all supporters, regardless of rank and tier. This event is all about battling…with the Pokemon given to you randomly! This is a fun event that does not require you to have ANY battling experience. Just your luck! I hope for a successful event, and everyone (even the 1st/2nd/3rd winners) will earn an emblem for participating. : )

    What are randbats, by the way, Megan? Randbat = Random Battle. You and your opponent are given six RANDOM Pokemon with random movesets. Using your luck (as well as a good luck charm, if you have one), you can only hope to beat your way to victory in your battle! All battles will take place on PokeCommunity's Battle Server, in which I will explain to you how to access it later down below (for those of you that haven't stepped foot on the server before). It is not required to use the Pokemon games.

    Once we get an even number of participants (sign-up deadline will depend on the amount), the tournament will start!

    The Theme for this tournament is Community Random. All Pokemon in this tier will be represented by PC members that chose their preferred Pokemon. For example, mine is Meganium, while Zorogami is Blaziken, and Terabyte is Snivy. If you haven't chosen a Pokemon to represent in the tourney, please see this thread. They will be applied to the next battle server update.

    Tourney Rules:

    1. Follow all PokeCommunity, PokeCommunity Battle Server, and VIP Forum rules.
    2. Matchups will be random. Please contact your opponent before battling. If you have a timezone conflict or communication conflict with your opponent, please PM me or post in this thread.
    3. If the majority of the participants need an extension to complete their battles, it will be granted.
    4. Respect your fellow opponent. This is NOT a competitive tournament. Ragequitting will result in an automatic loss.
    5. If you or your opponent disconnect during your battle due to internet problems or real life things, you have two (2) more opportunities to redo your battle. This includes forfeiting to an extent. You may not redo your battle because you "don't like your team".
    6. Be sure one of you guys post the result of the battle!
    7. There will be two battles in the finale: a 1st/2nd place battle, and a 3rd/4th place battle after the semi-finals.

    How to access the battle server:

    ACCESS HERE.

    The PokeCommunity Battle Server is a side client where members not only come to chat about competitive battling or anything out of the ordinary, but it's also a place to battle. You do not have to have competitive experience in order to become a regular at the server, in fact, it's newbie friendly.

    To log in, simply click "Join Chat" on the bottom. You are not required to register your username unless you plan to stick around longer. You will be asked to enter your username.

    If they ask you for a password that means the username is unfortunately taken, and thus you must choose another. You don't have to register your name right now once you enter the server. Once entered, your name will be randomly colorized. You cannot change that color.

    How to start battling:

    You are now in the chat room. On the side of the chat, you will see different bars that indicate team building, ladders and laddering battles, and current battles going on. Ignore those for now.

    To challenge someone, especially your opponent, click on their name. A small popup will appear indicating their name, avatar, rank, and availability. Click on Challenge if you already contacted or have been contacted by your opponent, or Chat, to speak to your opponent before battle.

    A PM box will pop up at the side of the chat. Above your messages (if you sent/ received any), an orange Challenge box will appear. Click on the drop down menu and you will be welcomed by a long list of Battle Server's Tiers provided by both PC and Smogon. Look for the one that says "Community Random" in the Random category, and click on it. The big list will disappear and you are now ready to challenge your opponent. The battle will begin instantly once you or your opponent accepts the challenge.

    Your first Pokemon will be given to you as you begin your battle. Four moves will also be randomly given to you. You may give yourself a minute or two to study the moves of every Pokemon, as well as items held, EVs, IVs, abilities, and more. You may click on a move to start attacking, or a Pokemon to switch.

    *squee*! I'm so glad there's a lot of interest! I guarantee you that it's going to be lots of fun.

    I'll have sign ups open till this Wednesday at the latest, if we do get enough people to join in, then I'll go ahead and start. This is turning out a lot better than I expected. :D
