I'm asking a girl out tomorrow. I've gone out with her a couple times before, but I'm still nervous.

If all goes well, I'm hoping to go on a few more dates and hopefully eventually ask her to a concert that I already have tickets for. If things dont work out, ill just have to find someone else. The problem is that Scorpions and Megadeth aren't exactly popular among young people. Im just lucky that she likes rock and metal!

re: eclipse - I had 76% theoretically but it was so foggy I couldn't even see it or tell a difference in brightness. so sad :(

Megadeth is gr8 m8

Too bad Dave has been having a lot of trouble singing live lately

I didnt end up asking because it wasnt the right time. I have a class with her and I was hoping to ask her while talking to her after class, but there were too many people around. Teenagers tend to freak out at the kind of stuff (not that she would make a big deal), and even if that were not the case, Im still too introverted to ask her out in front of others.

I might text her later, but I have some things I have to deal with first anyways, so I'm not too disappointed that the opportunity didnt come up today. I would rather be able to focus on those things.

This is the same girl! :D

I dont really follow music news. That sucks, but I'm still really excited! And Megadeth is a band that focuses heavily on the guitar anyways, so its not too bad I guess.

Magic Kingdom had their first Halloween event last night. Hallowishes is always a fun show.

Honestly, Im suspecting a mass retirement of classic metal artists over the next five years. Theyre getting pretty old.

I was watching an interview of James Hetfield and apparently the old guys are getting injured, such as a few members of Slayer (according to Hetfield). Metallica only tours 2 weeks at a time so they can rest and spend time with their families. Dio is already dead and I dont know how the hell Ozzy is still alive, but hopefully old school metal can live on when all of them are either retired or dead.

Rob Halford's voice is obviously not what it used to be... he cant do anything high-pitched anymore. Or at least good. Also Mustaine like you mentioned.

At least a lot of old school metal bands are still making music, so thats a good sign at least.

There an American food section in grocery stores there? What can you find?

I remember walking past a convenience store in Sydney (of which there are a lot of them) and I saw a pack of Twinkies, so yes American food sections are definitely a thing. Even our big supermarket chains (such as Coles and Woolworths) have sections with food from other countries in them.

Black Sabbath have already retired. Lemmy died a year and a half ago. Ozzy is still alive no one knows how, he looks like a ghost. Mustaine has been having a lot of trouble singing and playing guitar at the same time, particularly the older songs. He's also had neck surgery a couple of years ago. Tom Araya from Slayer also had neck problems, KK Downing from Judas Priest has retired as well. Metallica and Iron Maiden seem to be some of the few that are still going strong.
