Welcome, brave one! So you are a roleplayer? That is commendable, but do you know what would be even more prestigious? To also be a pokémon trainer!

In the Meta Journey, you pretty much play yourself, as a budding pokémon trainer who travels regions and collect pokémon. The area we currently travel in will be changing now and then, to allow you to find new pokémon. When you have a team you are comfortable with, you may eventually enter special events here in the Theatre and battle it out or solve problems together with the other trainers in the Meta Journey!

HOW DO I COLLECT POKÉMON?

We'll call this the "Meta Journey" for a reason. You won't be making any roleplaying posts in this thread directly. Rather, it is what you do in other threads that matters!

For each 2 IC posts you make in the Roleplay Stage, you may choose one pokémon from the current area in the Meta Journey to add to your collection. Simply make a post in this thread, linking back to two IC posts you have made in real roleplays. You cannot use posts that were made before you joined the Meta Journey. Note that every time "IC post" is mentioned in the Meta Journey, we require them to be over 100 words in length. Otherwise they're not worthy...

Note that a joint post (JP) together with another player also counts - for all included players, as long as each of you wrote at least 100 words! Meaning, you can use a JP you participated in, as if it was your own post.

You can also spend 6 Theatre posts, as these are equal in worth to 2 IC posts in the Journey. However, only posts made in unstickied discussion threads count. All these numbers could change if the almighty controllers of this Journey decide that is it necessary!

If there isn't a pokémon you want on the current route, you can just keep track privately of your accumulated posts and use them later :)

CAN MY POKÉMON EVOLVE?

Yes, you can choose to spend 2 IC posts or 6 Theatre discussion posts on evolving a pokémon instead of capturing a new one. It doesn't matter in what way the pokémon evolves in the games - leveling up, item, trade, happiness... Anything works. If a pokémon have several possible evolutions, you may simply choose which one to go for.

CAN I COLLECT MORE THAN 6 POKÉMON?

Yes. There is no limit. If you obtain more than 6 pokémon, your list will just keep going.

WILL THERE BE LEGENDARIES OR SHINIES?

Maybe...! In events or in certain areas, it will certainly eventually be possible to obtain very rare pokémon! Sometimes it can cost you more than the normal number of posts though.

AM I SUPPOSED TO POST "IN CHARACTER" IN THIS "META RP" ITSELF?

Not in this thread, no. If there are events in the future, you might be able to use your Meta Journey character and pokémon team there!

DO I NEED TO BE LIKE ASH AND RED?

No, you can actually be any kind of trainer you'd like. Put a label on it, like Breeder, Angler, Biker, Schoolgirl, Professor, Collector, Supernerd... Use existing ones or let your imagination run wild! Let it affect what pokémon you collect, or don't. 2016-01-XX : JOHTO - ROUTE 35

Route 35 (Japanese: ３５ばんどうろ Route 35) is a route in central Johto, connecting Goldenrod City to National Park and the Pokéathlon Dome. The route also has a shortcut that leads directly to Route 36. The route is a relatively short route, leading the player in an S-like curve north to the southern entrance to the National Park.
