Sometimes an hm is good, nothing I like better on a physical water type pokemon than waterfall. Even if it's not a good move since hms have been deletable since gen 2 I would rather not change my party over an hm. Space is limited enough as it is. I'll just learn the hm briefly and then get rid of it once something better comes along, rather than discard an old friend who could participate in a battle.
