Unpopular Opinions

Oh another unpopular opinion I share!

I hate going back to DeviantArt because it's cluttered with a bunch of art that people think looks good when it's just another weird fetish cartoon, an OC Pony, an OC Wolf, or an OC anime character of anything. Like great, you have an OC, now make a plot and start your storyboards!
 
Um yeah I play ****ing Pokemon for starters

In all seriousness I've always just been drawn to what lots of people tell me are "old lady things." I love candles, soaps, incenses, tea, teapots, etc. I don't know what draws me to these things or why I have the taste of a senior citizen, but at least one day it will be okay for me to enjoy these things.
 
1. Black Christmas is the best slasher flick ever made (it is also one of the first).

2. The Lakers have every right to feel ripped off by the NBA's decision to veto the CP3 trade...especially in light of the fact that the former Clipper owner is a blatant racist. I say this as a Clipper fan.

3. I'm much more interested in Exoplanets than I am in a meaningless Kuiper Belt object in Pluto. The only reason why people care about that ball of rock & ice is bcause of its name.

4. Partying is more enjoyable when tipsy, not drunk.

5. Golf is the worst sport to watch on Earth.

6. Raspberry iced tea is preferable to regular tea.
 
I think drinking/getting drunk is completely overrated.

If you think watching three hours of either 1.) baseball or 2.) golf is "fun," there is something wrong with you.
 
I actually enjoy baseball. It's football I have an issue with.

EA is not the worst company ever, Capcom is. Seriously, get it through your heads people. EA might have the "Battlefield Fever" but at least they don't clone their game five goddamn times, then invent ridiculous DLC, and then lock in-game content on the disc. Also, DMC, the last 4 (or five?) Resident Evil games (backing up to RE4 here), no more Megaman, and begging Nintendo to put Pac-Man as a fighter in the new Super Smash Bros. Capcom is a dying company that needs to be put down like Ol' Yeller, but with a little more promethium in the mix.

Also The Last of Us is not the greatest game of all time, it did not further the gaming industry at all with it's choppy ai (at best), and the story was predictable to anyone who has read any post-apocalypse fiction book ever.

Florida still sucks.

 
1. I actually think Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is not as bad as everyone makes it to be. The controls way better and the graphics and OST were pretty good. It may feature mostly just 5th gen Pokemon among with some other steps back, but it's really not terrible.

2. Call of Duty is actually a decent series, it's just the community that sucks ass (Its fanbase is made up of 10 year old wannabe thugs and 20 something dudebros that refuse to play anything that isn't COD or Madden, because it's "nerdy crap")

3. Elder Scrolls is overrated, Fallout is way better (Yes, I know it's made by the same company)

4. I don't think music today sucks, Most of the stuff on the charts is pretty bad, but if people actually took advantage of sites like last.fm or spotify, they can find plenty of recent music that's really good. Plus, while I'm not a hip hop fan at all, I can't deny that rap has progressed so far from its "ringtone rap" phase 9 years ago.

The Super Bowl is a meaningless shortcut to people who hasn't watched a single game in the series. It is also overly generalized based off solely on its commercials. With that said, the Super Bowl is lame.
 
I see everything as completely and utterly pointless nowadays if anything. Not sure if that's a unpopular opinion though but there ya go.
 
I think Dark Souls II is infinitely better than the first game on almost all fronts. Gameplay, mechanics, aesthetics, lore, etc. There were a few characters I liked better in the first game, and that's it.

MOBAs bore me as a whole. I've never found an entire genre of games unappealing before they got popular.

And since we're on the Pokemon forum... Bianca and Cheren are painfully boring characters and the worst rivals in the series.

Mostly agree here. While it's undeniable that at least some games in the series are rehash (or don't do enough to differentiate themselves from the last game, at least), they aren't that bad. What is bad is, like you said, the fanbase. Every "gamer" in my town refuses to broaden their horizons past CoD because the other games are "too unrealistic"

I'm just sad that CoD has "stolen" almost the entire Halo community. Hard to enjoy the games without anyone to play them with, y'know?

This is a tough one to agree with it's every four years man , four years is a long time and most of these countries are poor and the only sport they play is futball/soccer. In that particular moment the world comes together forgetting their worries and misery if only for a moment.

I was just thinking about this I don't even know if it even counts but whatever public showers should be band forever. After working out people need to take showers at home, I am really sick and tired of old dudes walking around in the locker rooms with their stuff all in the open as matter affect all dudes in general. Really who made this become normal it is not ok. Look, the last straw for me was when I just wanted to use the restroom and I find a guy drying his stuff on the hand dryer or blower or what ever it is called to dry your hand not other parts of your body. I had walk right back out.

Well, that is what this thread is for. Unpopular opinions.

I have many friends who are crazy over the World Cup. They bet a lot of money on teams and ended up losing more than they should. They ended up borrowing money from all sources possible (yes, including me). I find it absolutely pathetic.

I understand that the World Cup happens every 4 years and it is indeed a very "special" occasion, but I find it an empty celebration. From firms deliberately overcharging more and more for subscription to frauds/cheats after the World Cup season.

From that angle I am going to just have to agree with you as I don't believe in betting. I guess when you love something so much it is hard to see the dark side of things. I can only imagine how bad it was if they betted for Spain.
