What a name!

    So lets assume you get to choose a new username for PC hypothetically. What would you choose and why? How much thought would you put into your new name, and what do you think makes a good username for a forum? What do you think makes a good username?
     
    If I were to change my username, I'd go with either Volt, Dognog, or Voltdog, which are all usernames I use, but voltianqueen is my main one. Dunno what makes a "good" username, but when I made mine I wanted it to be unique so that only I would have it.
     
    I'd probably use ChaosGallade because Gallade is my favorite Pokemon.
     
    I'd change it to Kouzan, it's a username I use on other forums and I like it better than AWsquared.
     
    Actually, that was the main reason why I'm on a new account. I wanted a name change. xD Leaf Storm's my main name now and I don't think I want to change it for the better. Meganium(star) would be another, but that's too long & complicated. xD
     
    I'm not sure when or if I'll even be doing this, but I already created another account for a sole purpose of using a 2nd account to make things interesting for myself. Flame of the Heavens is lying in wait for about a month now. Unlike most, instead of abandon this one, I'd just take turn using them. Since I can't ever see myself using another name than Sector Revenge in.. well.. like ever.

    I like names specifically spell out like a name, without slang/numbers or those without spaces. Like how mine, Leaf Storm, Shiny Celebi, Patchisou Yutohu are. And simply just one word names like Thomas & Xulek...depending on what the meaning of them are even if they aren't a word/name x)

    I like names with a badass feel to it, an intimidating feeling to it. Not sure why lol
     
    Ishimura would be my first option, Aegis VII would be my second.

    Dead Space for the win. =D
     
    Well, I have had this name on another forum before I left, but elsewhere, I'm also known as Penta Penguin, so I would change to Penta Penguin, without a doubt.
     
    If I could choose any name, taken or no, it'd be Sammi. gaspshockhorror, how original! :p I'd really like to have a name that doesn't have a Japanese honorific in it, but I want something that still has my name in it.

    If I can't have Sammi I'd pick out a character name of mine that I really like. There's a billion so I don't have one off the top of my head. It wouldn't take me too long to pick one.

    As for what makes a good username? Something that's somewhat original. And if there are numbers in it, at least don't make it and underscore and then numbers. *stares at old account, nayana_1120...*
     
    I would choose either Andy Lately or Andy From The Block. I've wanted to change my name to the first for a while and the second I just think is hilarious lol. I wouldn't put a lot of thought into it - I sat here for ages thinking about a good name when I joined PC before I finally landed on Shining Raichu and now I'm not the biggest fan of that name so it just goes to show that thought isn't necessarily the answer :P. I felt my name should be Pokemon-based since it's a Pokemon forum, only to finish joining and find that half the names had nothing to do with Pokemon at all :P.

    Now... what makes a good username. Hmm. PLEASE KNOW THAT I MEAN NO OFFENSE TO ANYBODY. IF I DON'T LOVE YOUR USERNAME IT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T LOVE YOU.

    With that disclaimer...

    If you have more than one word in your name, I think it looks better if your name has a space between the two words rather than a - or a _ or just merging the words together. I am also a fan of proper punctuation, so I like capital letters at the beginning of each word (though I find this doesn't worry me so much in single-word names like donavannj or bobandbill, the latter of which breaks all these rules and still manages to be the exception to them).

    My pet hate in usernames is a tie between unnecessary punctuation (if I see ~*!*^!*& around your username I automatically cringe :P) and numbers. So the best usernames don't have those, in my opinion. I also hate unnecessary x's in usernames (no offense xxReshiramxx I'm sure you're lovely!!!)

    Finally, the best usernames are inventive. Ayselipera, Ausaudriel, Sylphiel, Bloodex and Know-Nothing Bozo the Non-Wonder Dog are among my favourite usernames because of this.
     
    I'd be Ryudo. The character Ryudo is everything I aspire to be, plus it's a very cool sounding name, so that'd be my name. I've already started using it for most things so given the chance I'd definitely swap here too. Other than that, I'd also like Pina since it's such a cute and magical name, but I feel it might be better suited for a woman's name. x]
     
    i would go with Sawri san or Saya chan..or just Taleen (Tally) as people always call me me liky dat :3...but i like the name Broken Arrow though :)
     
    I wouldnt switch my username as it is fantastic! (:P) If anything Id just abbreviate it to CWP as I am lazy and that would save me some time indeed.

    For a good username I really like ones that are clever and make me go, yup that person is smart. I think things that make a bad username is if they are HUGEEE and full of stupid things like * - _ !~ etc etc.
