I am suffering through Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance on PS4 right now. Yes, suffering. This is the seventh Kingdom Hearts game I've played in a row. Flowmotion feels awkward, the drop system feels unnecessary - although not too intrusive thanks to drop-me-nots - and urgh why are there TWO fucking Tron worlds in this?! - and combat is the typical clusterfuck. But I am so happy to not have Donald and Goofy tagging along for a change, getting to play as Riku again, and Young Xehanort is ridiculously pretty. Like, seriously. It's kinda creepy considering he's an old man bodysnatcher with Myotismon's voice. But honestly, it's not as bad as it could be I suppose.
Also playing Virtue's Last Reward on my Vita. I've played better VNs, but I have played much, much worse, and I'm enjoying it. It's a nice break from Kingdom Hearts. Zero III has such fantastic voice acting. But why did they pick ugly blurred models over the more traditional animated drawings 999 had? They're awful! Tenmyouji's mouth makes him look like a fish gasping for air and I can't stop laughing at him. I have seen three character endings now so I still have a fair bit to go.
