I've been working on a fan edit pretty much all day and I'm really liking it so far. I'm using a program I've never used before, so taking that into account, I'm proud of how it's turning out.
 
I stood up for my mother.

It was not easy. I was hit in retaliation, yelled at, abused, and ultimately had my life threatened.

But I shall not watch as someone lays hands on my mother. I will take 1,000 of those hits for her.

I am not confrontational. I had a panic attack after it was over. But I stood my ground as her youngest child. I will not let her be harmed.

Oh... I am sorry to hear this happened...
I can relate. I once saw a friend of mine being attacked, and while I am not confrontational either, I immediately defended them against the bully.

What you did was brave and the right thing to do. I wish for you both to be alright and to feel better soon.

It was an unfortunate situation and I didn't think I would react this way.

When I saw her starting to cry I became vocal.

When she was touched physically I completely inserted myself into the situation. Almost through sheer instinct.

I don't regret it. It bought a night of misery and pain onto me (and pain that will endure and now become etched into my mind). But I will not let anyone lay a hand on my mother.
 
I found out about this nice charity in South Africa, called Barefoot No More. It specializes in making shoes that are donated to the poorest of children who have none of their own, and walk to school barefoot. I watched a video about it from the YouTube channel Beast Philanthropy, and saw 9 different schools in Johannesburg that had students in need all get the shoes they needed. It was uplifting to see all the beautiful and happy faces, not having to make that painful walk again, everybody got something to wear. I am going to find some money to donate to this cause, even though I am usually tight with money, it's worth cutting back on something if it could help those kids out just a bit more.
 
Reaching out to old friends from PC, talking to new folks (who I hadn't seen when I was here last time)

And finally getting some quality time with a special friend.

Re-entering my CSGO fixation phase. Enjoying being bad at it again and seeing all the cool new skins available. Literally just visited trading sites and exchanged some old ones I was bored of with a fresh batch. If I'm gonna go 0-16, I might as well do it in style~
 
Seeing flocks of baby ducks, geese and swans pretty much all over the place, being escorted by their parents. Waddling around like they own the place.
 
My community has been trying to raise thousands of dollars asap for a dog at the Humane Society that needed a life-saving operation. I only had a little bit to donate yesterday, but everyone giving a bit evidently went a long way. I got a message this morning that the fundraising goal was hit, the pup (Newton) had his surgery and is doing good now.
