  • From what I know, its really difficult to start and maintain a business. I don't have an interest in it at all because I don't want to have to put in 60 hour work weeks and crap.

  • Starting and maintaining a business is very difficult. There's a lot of competition and neither the government or the populace are really that inclined to support small businesses. That being said, I do have plans in place to start several business endeavours once I'm well enough and have the resources.

  • Yes, I personally had my own small business. But in order to open it, you need to take a loan or make money for several years, I do not like the idea that you need to work for someone and not get pleasure from it. And you need to be prepared for the fact that a business can go bankrupt.

  • I would like to own my own business. Be fun and boring at the same times. But being able to put your dreams to the machines would be wonderful. Idealy my plans are games, a thing like steam, consoles, phones tablets and computet OS, basically technology as a whole XD

I've always had a dream of opening my own honey bar or bakery. I don't think that's in the cards for me right now but it sounds very romantic and fulfilling. I love the idea of making people happy with goods I can supply.

That said, it's obviously very difficult, especially when going into the food industry.

  • ive been told its very difficult and idk if id have the mental energy for that in all honesty

Oh it is, but its worth it after awhile, most difficult part would be paying off bank loan and starting it up, i would assume.

  • I've thought about opening up my own computer repair business that I could either operate on a storefront or out of my own home! However, I don't think I'd have the resources to be able to do it at this time, let alone the certifications to proudly show I know what I'm doing :(

  • I might be late with my input, but i hope to someday 3d model toys like action figures, figurines and dolls in blender. Then 3d printing said models for selling on Etsy as children's toys or collectables but I hope to eventually have enough 3d printers that I can print on demand. Maybe someday become a real deal business with my own company but that is a ways off, by a couple years at least.

Sure. It might be a hard venture but it beats working a dead end 9-5 job on a crappy wage.

  • I wouldn't really mind tbh. I mean, having a way for me to be self-published and such... you know? However, it can be hard because you still have to be able to build upon your own business as well. You have to know how to get yourself out there and let others know you exist.

It's an extremely complicated and multi-faceted job to run a successful business, and honestly I don't think I could handle the pressure, even if my degrees have given me the knowledge of how to do it. It sounds glamorous on paper being your own boss and the boss of other people, but it most definitely is not.

Although it'd be a wonderful thing to be able to say "I already do." whenever my parents told me to mind my own business. xD

I do freelance web design that earns me a solid amount of money for months I actually have work, but I don't think I'll ever do it as my only source of income.

  • No. At least, not for now.

It's something I've given some thought to. Looking at the big picture, it is unfathomably difficult to maintain a business, especially if you're the sole owner. All of your free time, most of your time breathing will be to bring your business off the ground in the hopes that it'll have enough of a niche to grab the eye of the general public and provide you with passive income.

Having money that works for you instead of the other way around sounds like a dream, but the asterisk here is that it takes an obscene amount of effort to work towards that dream, and it's not always going to be successful. The risk... kind of puts me off, although I'm not adverse to trying it later on in life.

  • I'm going to launch my own blog and monetize it after some time. It's great to have an ability to write about your passions, desires and share your expertise, plus to earn on it.

  • I have this daydream sometimes where I imagine myself moving to Europe and opening up a small bakery/coffeeshop and living on whatever small amount of money that gives me for the rest of my life.

It's simple, and I'd get to avoid the dumpster fire that American politics have become. Win-Win imo
